The NHL "parity" era is over. It went from the extreme of teams always losing their players to teams never losing their players and thus teams who draft bad and develop bad stay in the toilet for half a decade.

Heard some doofus yesterday on the NHL Network say "Central is the best division in hockey". I would put TB, TOR, BUF and BOS (when they get healthy) against anyone in the Central. Or any other division.

Left out that it's made GM's terrified of making trades, which makes the league incredibly less fun (especially compared to the surging NBA where superstars are traded all the time).
