Colorado wouldn't have been in play for Les Miles. They're going to go get a guy who is extremely offensive-minded and can put up points. Montez comes back and Shenault is one of the more explosive players in the country. Babers, Chip Long, or maybe even Holgorsen.

I think you are overestimating the value of the CU job for coaches (at least about holgerson). I think Miles would have been just what the program needs.

I see them kicking tires on Holgorsen but doubt they're able to write a check big enough to convince him to make the move. We know enough about what AD Rick George wants in a head coach to know that Les Miles doesn't fit the bill.

Ok then. Good luck.

no perspective on MM's tenure at Colo... but as a Bay Area resident, really appreciated what he did and how he represenet SJS..... always seemed like a straight forward guy. Hope things work out both for Colo and MM....

I don’t think that is true at all and Colorado wasn’t going to hire him. I don't see Les being the answer for any program.

I think Miles can be the answer at Kansas because I think Kansas is smart enough to ask a different question than what most would be asking.

Is Les Miles going to win the Big XII at Kansas? Probably not

Can Les Miles get Kansas to the point where they are bowling on a regular basis? I believe he can.

The important thing is for Miles not to make the same mistake that Beatty made....he isn't going to win at Kansas trying to out Big XII the Big XII. He simply isn't going to get the athletes to do that on a regular basis. What he can do to win is to bring defense back to the Big XII and by playing physical football on offense. Big XII defenses are built to stop the spread and air raid. Running an offense heavy on 11, 21, or Ace personnel groupings, especially with big physical line play and bigger RBs would force them out of their comfort zones and cause mismatches among some of the teams who utilize smaller linebackers for their pass defense.

Just because Les Miles kinda won at LSU doesn't mean he's the obvious solution for any school with a vacancy.
Doesn't matter. KU got him. It's irrelevant. Like CU is in D1 sports.

Cause Iowa is soooo much more relevant. smh, KU can have Les.

You really want to compare stats between the 2 schools? FB, BB and what other sport do they play at CU?

We're talking college football right now. And right now, Iowa has nothing on Colorado.

So in say the last 10 years, CU is 42-82. One of the worst CFB teams in the country. Nice try.

They went 10-3 and made it to the Pac 12 title game. It was a season that has turned out to be an anomaly under Mac.

I know, but the was the only year Leavitt was on the staff. Without Leavitt on his staff, I don’t think Mac even had a bowl eligible team

I know the numbers. Apparently you don't or you wouldn't be talking shit. I'll take a coach that averages 8 wins over 20 years to what CU has.

CU is a train wreck and has been long before abandoning their roots to try fitting in with the PAC schools.

Congrats on finishing 3rd or 4th in most years, in the Big 10's weaker division. It's an extremely notable accomplishment in all of college football.

Beats the hell out of finishing LAST every year and being the Kansas or Rutgers of the Pac 12.

As I said before when I tried to disengage, good luck to you.
