Kiss of death
Yes it was. Smith actually looked like a real QB on that play. Bought himself some time, stayed cool when the pocket got sloppy and ity was a hellified throw right where it needed to be and in traffic. Truth be told, I was shocked he even attempted that pass. Still.......overall it was another sub-par performance from Smith who appears to be making no progress whatsoever far as getting acclimated, comfortable or any better.
And you're right about the youngsters.
If it wasn't for the defensive turnovers and 2 miss FG's by Tampa we lose this game. The offensive line keep pushing us back into 3rd and long situations.
no i just bash BKL insteadThis team wins and loses ugly, that is their character this season, but maybe we shouldn't play the "if not for..." or "if it wasn't for..." game, because it applies to every game win or lose. A good example is, If it wasn't for those six touchdowns and a FG, against us, we would have won the New Orleans game.

Now, we sound like we are giving the D a pass here. We should understand how lucky we were. We got a pick in the end zone and a fumble bounced through the end zone giving us a touchback without even getting a recovery.
We gave up over 500 yards of offense. We had under 300 yards of offense. We only scored 16 points but we forced 4 turnovers...on a defense that gives up 35 ppg.
Don’t let stats get in the way of a Win. 6-3 HTTR
Also noticed the way you left out they average 29 a game and I was always told you make your own luck. Norman finally caught a ball. Anderson’s play was straight hussle.
Oh...I am not discounting their average. They had two turnovers in 5he end zone...they had 500 yards of offense. I am willing to bet, that is the lowest score any team in history has had with 500 yards of total offense. Care to take a wager?
it was a subpar performance today b/c he missed that bomb to Davis. If he hit that pass it was a good performance from Smith b/c this line didn't do him any favors today with all the penalties.
