but possibly the worst 9-0 team i've ever seen. lots of talent goes to waste on this team with such stupid coaching.
ND were 9.5 favorites. They won by 10 and had a 17 point lead in the 2nd half.
What exactly are you bitching about again? They're not going to win every game by 50 points which is what you obviously expect

yes they had a 17 point lead ... which they turned into a 3 point lead.
i'm bitching about the way they play. i know you don't give a shit about anything but wins and losses, but i care about how they play. and if you thought they played anywhere near their potential yesterday then i don't think you know a damn thing about college football.
Knew NU wouldn't be a cake walk, but these coaches really need to do a much better job of in-game adjustments.
We should move up to #3 in the CFP rankings, but seriously, who's gonna beat Bama? It's gonna be like 2012 all over again … CFB vs NFL's undeclared 33rd team.
I agree but they have looked like a very average team their last 3 gms against mostly weak competition. Not every game is going to be your best game. That's what separate a lot of teams. The ability to win (especially on the road) when you didn't play your best is huge. There is only one team in football who can say they played up to their potential in every game this season and we all know who that team is.

meh, northwestern had won 4 straight, beaten number 20 wisconsin, and was up 17-0 on michigan. it was also a road game in the rain. not sure you could call nw average. notre dame made a couple mistakes, but still led from start to finish, covered, and responded when pressed. wasn't a great performance but adequate.

can't have your cake and eat it too. you're happy about ND being 9-0 (and so am i) and yet 5-4 NW is supposed to be more than average? either you judge a team on it's w-l record or you don't. which is it?
if you want to look at the details then look at all of them ... not just NW's. notre dame played some pretty bad teams and could have easily lost a couple of them. so don't act so surprised that all ND fans aren't happy with this team.
