How deceptive was it that the Flyers looked fast/quick/responsive....they were playing the Ducks and the Kings.

There was considerable consternation before the Kings game that Weiss was dressing. Remember who the opponent is. When playing the Kings you can't go small, they will smash you into the boards. Weiss gave the Flyers a physical winger who is also a reasonable skater.

But at this point anything to help build confidence is a plus.
Yes we just beat up 2 shitty teams, but this team was becoming so broken mentally they needed the lift.
Let's just hope they can keep the confidence level up and push themselves to do what we all know they can and should do.

Lets just wheel off 10 straight wins and move way ahead of the pack. I think everyone here can agree on that.

Weiss has been pretty good so far and deserves the time he's getting. Seems the only guy constantly trying to keep a job lol.

Wasn't his issue that they were to big? Yea if it;s working let it ride.

The league has made all goalies wear tighter pads because they want more goals.
The tighter pads are not allowing for as much give as a loose pad would and the body is forced to absorb more of the puck.
Many of the goalies are complaining, but the NHL isn't listening.

Its a shame when Lehtera and Weiss have been two of our most complete players this season. As soon as everyone else picks up their game we should be OK.

Ok yea I do remeber that, my thought was backwards, bigger pads was the thing the players were crying about.

They're coming around. Provorov has played a few good games in a row now. Couturier has been better. The 2nd line has looked great in the past two games IMO. Patrick, Lindblom, Voracek are a force down low and it's producing good offense.

There's definitely a 'strength of opponent' component to it, but they have looked a lot better in the last couple games. A lot more physical too by my eye. Weise, NAK, Folin, Simmonds all look to be trying to throw the body a bit more.

This is a good observation, I thought the same thing and I really think the lack of it was a big factor in our start. You have to be physical and establish a fore check which we def did a better job. Still letting guys open around the net to much for my liking but that looked better over all to.

That's crazy true!!!!!

He's got to be sitting up there itching to jump the gate and go in between the posts....lol

I understand the development of the younger guys but one of them has to be ready for trail by fire.....
Idk, it's just real confusing.

And if you think about it, all the goalies bitching about the new padding and all the bumps and bruises they are getting....it doesn't look good for Neuvy who doesn't need much to go on IR....
and he also has 2 goals scored to his name.
