To say Ben is beginning to show his age......
Or maybe Ben is playing care free like his team mates do off the field.....

But "worst" season of his career???? Real stretch.
Just what their metrics say man

What metrics????

Last time I checked we don't use the metric system????

But seriously, his worst season????
Not even you can make yourself believe it's his worst season.
He's had his downfalls and short comings this season, just like any other season. But this is far from his worst.

Since his rookie year, per profootball focus. I dont have the link. But obviously using their metrics.
Yet he has some nice stats
Perhaps if he turns it around , the steelers really step up.
But right now Ben isnt getting it done.

FYI this is how you dont be a home about your own QB, own up that hes not playing his best

I thought he would be outstanding this year when he lost all that weight. Maybe he should get some pizza and beer tonight and blow up again....

IDK much about metrics and how it applies to your performance. I will assume it logs a bunch of numbers and spits out a result based on said numbers. But, watching the games, what's different about Ben now vs 5 yrs ago...he succumbs to pressure quicker now, less able to extend plays, maybe not quite the same arm strength.

But when you say right now Ben isn't getting it done...what do you mean specifically?

I ask this because his stat line looks pretty good in spite of starting the season with 3 INTs.

Ben is projecting to have 4500 or so yds, 28 TD/ 14 INTs....I'm not sure what the metrics people think is so bad about that.

If he can shave a bit off that INT #, I think this would be a pretty good year overall for Ben...I'd like to see the OFC start faster in games so you can keep all of your plays available. When you're playing catch up the running game suffers.

I agree.
They need to run more, it will help the entire team out in the long run.
Like I said, this is not Ben's worst year, can he improve? Sure, everyone can improve.
Let's hope he gets the picks down, it's all we can hope for at this point.:suds:

Yep...everyone can improve, like you said, fewer
INTs. Secondly if they start faster on OFC they can keep the damn game within 1 possession, the running game will be okay I think. But, if Randy is down 10 or more points, he abandons the run very quickly.

Obviously makes playcalling less predictable when the DEF has to account for the run and the pass on just about every play.

This is one of those bell put up better numbers than Conner threads

Understandable, but I didn't say anything about his stats compared to anyone's, and the thread title doesn't imply Ben compared to someone. Since we want to be fair.

And it's not the first time he's tossed an unreal amount of ints.

I was just making a remark, no biggie. I picked him for a reason and have stuck with him but checking his stats vs QB on bench, I keep getting hosed and it those pesky ints

Slow start for He and his team ... I think they will continue to improve the 2nd half of the season

You're preaching to the choir ATL....
I agree 110% with you. This team was founded to grab a quick lead then just beat down the opponent with the run game. It's paved the way for the teams success for decades. Honestly start the game with a no huddle get on the board, then just grind the other team down.
I think the predictions are saying Ben may finish the year with 14 picks, which sucks, but even that is a far cry from his career worst.

As far as FF his stats are so up and down this year.....
I've had him for the last 5 years in fantasy, and I've only used him twice because he's been so unpredictable.

But as far as NFL, it's no where near his worst.
I think it's crazy that Steelers fans are believing this is him at his worst. Because when Ben leaves, Steelers fans that don't remember the QBs of the 80's are going to go total meltdown.

I’m not at all saying I agree. I think he needs to tune down the turnovers. We all do. That was just what profootball focus’s metrics said
