Again, I dont know the full story. I don’t understand why it falls on the coach to step in. There’s 10 plus coaches, and a trainer, and who knows who else. The one head coach is supposed to recognize that the symptoms one of these dozens of kids is experiencing is more severe than the exhaustion the others are experiencing from the same workout? Why wouldn’t it fall on the trainer, or someone medically trained, or on the university for not having someone who can recognize these things? I don’t see why the head coach is the only one responsible and all the blame goes to him.

Is it the kid's fault when the coaches waited nearly an hour to call an ambulance when it was clear McNair was showing all the signs of heat stroke and give him barely any treatment themselves? I'm no doctor, but it seems the kid's life could have been saved had they administered proper first aid and immediately called for an ambulance.
