This is Lonzo chance to get his job back. Play good in all 3 games Rondo is out then they probably keep him in the lineup especially if it results in a couple of wins

You're paying Draymond the max?
If you want to keep him you are because someone else will.

He's the key to the whole thing. Now if they decide KD is leaving and they should blow it up that's one thing. But my guess is KD leaves and they try to keep the core 3 together. It'll be interesting

He doesn't deserve the max though

Not sure I agree. At least not relative to the Warriors.

Imo, it's similar to TT in Cleveland.

Now, before anyone goes crazy and says I'm saying TT is as good as Draymond. That's not what I'm saying at all.

As much as we all like to give the Cavs shit about TT's contract. The fact is, while no other team in the league was going to pay him what the Cavs are, the Cavs had to pay him because it kept Lebron happy and because of the Cavs cap situation, they couldn't bring in a cheaper option.

Draymond may not necessarily be worth a max to a lot of other teams, he is to the Warriors because, as Warriors fans have pointed out, he's key to making what they do work.

i think multiple teams would offer him the max.

Do I think it would prob. bite you in the ass the last year or two? Yah probably- but do i think its inevitable he gets multiple max offers if he hits unrestricted free agency? Yes i do.

Very accurate retelling of events.

Except that Ingram was already penalized for the shove with a tech. That never would have generated a suspension. He just got tired of Harden's ref baiting and whining for calls, just like I have been for years. Returning to the melee to throw a punch was ill-advised, of course.

Paul's finger-banging should've at least been penalized the same as Rondo's (or Melo's?) spit. 3 Stooges eye-poke is worse than some spray.

that what I would think- that KD probably leaves and they keep Curry/Klay/Dray together.

IF I had to bet on a most plausible scenario that would be it. Maybe Klay and Dray take some small discounts, but i would not expect either to leave any kind of substantial money on the table.

Those teams would be very dumb especially if they're expecting him to be their top dog.

Curry and Draymond are the 2 essential cogs. It does not work without them.

If KD leaves, they will still be a contender if they keep the other 3. They probably won't be the best team, but they will be among the top 3-4 favorites with an actual shot at a ring.

Tend to agree, but I think Wiggy is at least partially right. I don't know about several teams offering him a max, but a couple will, especially if they are desperate.

For him to be worth a max, a team would basically have to play the same way that the Warriors do. Even then, it's unlikely that he would be as effective because he wouldn't have the unique talents around him that the Warriors do.

This is the most plausible situation, I agree. But the more I think about it, KD might sign another 1 +1 next year. Warriors max Klay, they pay a substantial luxury tax, and then KD leaves the following year. Warriors max Draymond.

But a nice backup plan might be if KD leaves next year, they could re-sign Boogie at a 10-12M, 1 year deal. That would actually allow him to build up the most value, since he'd have more of a substantial role on the team and he'll hopefully be fully healthy.

While this is plausible, if Boogie shows he's still a very good player this year, he will get much better offers from other teams than 1 year at $12 mil

Just depends on the markets I supposed and his options. We don't know a few things particularly, when he'll come back and also will he be on a minutes restriction. Will his numbers or touches be there for him when he does return? It's all speculation at this point until we see what he does on the court.

Agreed, a lot of variables in the mix for the Ws after this year. Like I said, will be interesting

Let's remember at least 5 offered or were prepared to offer Whiteside a max.

Pacers/Wolves, Wiz/Blazers, and Spurs/Lakers are the best games on the schedule tonight.

Looking like another late night for me lol
