Brawl aside... I'm encouraged by the Lakers playing 48 close minutes @POR and vs HOU without LeBron needing to go beast mode to make that happen.

Yeah, they are still gelling and they have looked good in both games.....faded down the stretch vs the Blazers but Portland is always a tough place for us to visit.

Yeah, that can't happen. Rondo needs a big time suspension for this. I wouldn't mind seeing the Lakers release him over it. I don't think they will, but I would certainly support it if they did.

Rondo will say it was unintentional and there's really no way to truly prove it was (it's not liked he reared back, hocked up a big ol' lunger and let fly lol) so he may not even get the full suspension that he deserves.

That's what I'm thinking too. I think it was inevitable that Ball would eventually replace Rondo as the starter. Looks like it will be sooner than anyone thought.

Is it just me or is the first nba fight in a long while with so many straight on connected punches. Seems like most in recent history never connect with target or they get seperated before anything happens. This was a few steps from malice in the palace

No you're right. Most players are smart and wants to avoid a long suspension which why we don't see
