Sure, just part time now. lol Because we have to believe if he's needing rest early in the season that it's only going to continue as the season progresses - especially if they're expecting to play deep in the post season.
you are looking way to much into this

Again 3 games in 4 nights. He is still getting his legs under him from missing almost all year.

Raptors are worried about the long term goal. Not tonight.

We all get an opinion, but I'll go with the player and the team paid big bucks to manage his health over yours.

This is not me shitting on the Raptors past playoff failures..

I mean, hello, Clippers fan.

But, the Raptors have gone all out to be " Regular Season " Champions and have still gone down in flames.

After Kawhi and his peeps disdain over how the Spurs handled her s injury, this is the right move to make.

They are showing that they care about his long-term health, not just what he can do for them in a possible one and done season.

Great optics, if nothing else.

If you came from a team that you thought misdiagnosed, and mishandled, your injury....

Wouldn't you appreciate the fact that this team is going about things differently?

Remember: They are auditioning for Kawhi's services.

And on the flip side if I'm Toronto I would've appreciated an honest professional opinion of his injury prior to the trade. If he wasn't healthy enough to play through the regular season that seems like an important fact to know.

Maybe they did know & this is how they are dealing with it - in a sense accepting it to possibly keep him long term? Who knows? I'm just pointing out that he's had 10 months of "rest" in the sense that he hasn't played in any NBA games.

I'm sure they had his full medical history.

This is not Kawhi refusing to play.

It's the Raptors deciding to err on the side of caution like the 76ers did with Embiid.

Eh, this is nothing new.

Of course not, most understand that teams and players know way more about how to manage their bodies than casual fans like you (or me).

How long are they going to baby this thigh injury? Either he's healthy or he isn't, right? It just seems weird because they're claiming he's healthy enough to play this season but say he needs rest after 2 games. lol

Ageed, you never miss an opportunity to chime in without adding much to the convo.

And you never miss a chance to get all salty when people don't just agree with your takes.

Who knows how long?

It lasted most of the Season for Embiid and it was the right decision.

You have to remember:

This is not Danny Green we are talking about here.

Kawhi is a franchise player.

How long are the Warriors going to sit Boogie?

He can practice and scrimmage, so fuck it....put him out there, right?

Wrong.

You don't do that with guys that can make or break your franchise.

* See the Warriors sitting Durant and Curry for longer then needed for various injuries after getting Zsa Zsa'D

Yea I get that...is this going to be the norm going forward though? I certainly can appreciate a player taking the time needed to heal. Glad we didn't have to deal with this when the mains guys in GS got hurt & then came back.

I totally understand your point.

I just see it differently.

How they handle this situation could alter the course of their franchise.

That's exactly my point. You don't rush them back, but you don't play them if you don't believe they're healthy. GS waited to bring KD, Steph & Dray back until they could go. They didn't bring them back then rest them every couple of games. Same thing with Boogie.

Honestly, it probably will go on for the Season.

It's very important that they have him healthy in the playoffs.

If they don't get to the ECF, the odds of him staying diminish...imo
