Selfishly I really need Oregon to beat UW. That way we will have a victory over a top 10 team when the Ducks get waxed in Pullman in 2 Saturdays. Plus it will make the Apple Cup for the Pac12 North for the 3rd straight year.

Clearly that's worked out the last two years for you!

Did Leach install a run offense over there yet?

I don’t see it. “Dawgs roll 38-17” isn’t that ridiculous. It’s actually a pretty modest homer prediction if you’re looking at the last couple years’ scores.

And I agree. BUT, if you want to do so, then back it up. I'm willing to take the beat down if I lose.

I think (know) Washington has the better team so they should win but Oregon is better at the one spot that matters most and could make it interesting. Gotta give props to Oregon. First decent QB since Mariota and looking like he's even better. We ( I know I did for sure) gave a lot shit to Oregon fans for the crap QBs since MM. Only fair to say well done.

“Left Eye” Adams was good. But he was a senior transfer. Hubert is definitely the first good quarterback they’ve produced since Mariota.

College Football Picks: Why Pac-12 needs Washington to win

If the Pac-12 wants to maximize its damaged hopes of placing a team in the College Football Playoff, No. 7 Washington needs to beat No. 17 Oregon on Saturday.

The Huskies (5-1, 3-0) and Ducks (4-1, 1-1) meet in Eugene, Oregon, in a game that could go a long way to determining which team wins the Pac-12 North. After years of dominance by the Ducks, the Huskies flipped the rivalry the last two seasons, winning both games by a combined 108-24.

The Ducks’ lone loss this season was a heart-breaking giveaway to Stanford. The Huskies have not lost since the opener against Auburn in Atlanta.

The best either team can do is “12-1 Pac-12 champion,” but Washington’s resume would look much better than Oregon’s. The Ducks, thanks to Texas A&M bailing on a series, were stuck with one of the weakest non-conference schedules in the country. They also, by luck of the draw, have a Pac-12 schedule that has neither Southern California nor No. 19 Colorado. Good for racking up wins, but not necessarily for impressing the selection committee.

The Huskies, meanwhile, host unbeaten Colorado next week and have already won at Utah. The Auburn game was a loss, but traveling cross-country and playing a Top 25 team (for now) in its backyard is probably better than beating up a cupcake at home — which is all the Ducks have to show. The Huskies could also get a little boost from their win over BYU if the Cougars finish out the season strong.

Colorado is the only unbeaten team in the Pac-12 but, again, the schedule gods did the Buffaloes no favors. Rival Colorado State is mediocre at best and their big nonconference opponent, Nebraska, is in the midst of a historically bad season. Colorado probably needs to run the table to get serious playoff consideration, and it would probably bolster the Buffs’ case if Washington was as good as possible.

Many wanted to bury the Pac-12 as soon as the Huskies lost to Auburn. That was premature. Even now there are enough twists and turns possible to pave the way for the conference to put its champion in the playoff — but the chances are much better if that champion is Washington.

I'm more excited to read the GDT instead of watching the actual game.

I just spent tues, wed, and today off sick from work with that fall cold going around Seattle right now.

Getting better now so will be good to go tomorrow and can’t wait for this game.

While Ducks have massive advantage with game at Autzen, I think the Husky D is more than built to handle the Herbie pass attack. The mostly crappy defenses they’be faced so far has blinded their fans. Blind to the backfield that’s coming there on Sat.

Should be a good game, but Huskies should still smoke them where it counts.

Huskies win by 10+ points.

There are so many ways to break down a game like this.

In the end to me the one key is can Oregon effectively stop Gaskin and the running game. UW hasn't had to bring out their full playbook yet this year. You can bank on them challenging the ducks undersized secondary off play action. That can only work if they can also effectively run.

Oregon will get a few big plays from Herbert. No one can, or should doubt that. They do have some shifty runners as well. It won't be a shut out kind of game, but UW does have a secondary the likes of which the ducks haven't seen since the last time UW kicked their asses. Or the time before that. UW will get stops and maybe a few takeaways.

So again, can UW take advantage of the ducks secondary off play action and keep drives going with Gaskin and Ahmed? If you think the answer to that is yes then they should be able to score more than Oregon. If not it might be a bad day at the office.

I'm just banking on the Huskies more seasoned/veteran presence in this game and their more experienced coaching staff. I could see nerves creating some problems for a duck team that will likely too desperately want/need to win this game in front of their home crowd. That pressure will be visible IMO. This may be a case where the home crowd actually might hinder them if things start off the wrong way. Kids wanting to do too much and not staying disciplined in their lane assignments with all that expectation from that home crowd.

So far OD has made like one or two minor posts in this thread, created his own husky hate thread and then abandoned it and has spent the rest of his time on the hoop talking about the cowboys and wrastl'n.

He scurred or what? :noidea:

Shouldn't we have had at least 15-20 scenario village updates and guarantees about this game? I'm sure he's saving it up for the GDT, but come on man. It's hate week and he's all talking WWE n shit.

OD is a hit & run poster. He'll make two or three post on a thread that he starts up and then he's gone.
