why did it take the guy almost 3 full seasons to learn the playbook and get on the field?

He's about as smart as Chase Coffman? I don't know. I'm glad he learned the playbook, but if this cat were able to catch the ball consistently we'd be 2-0.

It's a new playbook, so it is more or less about his hands catching the ball.

they had more faith in chad catching the ball, as many drops as he has.

I'm not so sure he had as many problems as we are led to believe. I think a lot of it had to do with Lewis and him not wanting to play young players. He didn't want to play Dunlap last year but was forced to because of injuries, when Simpson did get in the game look at what he did last year. He has talent, and I think he has good hands when focused, he just seems to lose sight of the ball or take his eyes off it trying to make a play. I think that is very fixable. As with everyone else on this team as far as experience he is still very young. I think he will be just fine.

It really hurts that Shipley is lost for the year then to have Simpson be so stupid. If Shipley wasn't hurt, it wouldn't be as bad.
