Done deal. Pats traded a 5th round pick next year for him. Eagles weren't interested. Guess they don't have interest in problem children. They should at least try to trade for Devante Parker (Dolphins).

There is hope - if Jeffrey plays this week. Ditto for Sproles.

Maclin is cooked, Dez is a headcase, and Gordon comes with his own unique issues but I'd be willing to take a flier on him - as long as it's not too expensive, it could be our "Ajayi" addition this year that will help add to an already explosive offense when we get our studs back in there.

Chalk up the TB loss to hot weather, and perhaps the 10-day layover was too much time off and they lost a bit of their edge from Week 1. Schwartz's unit deserves a lot of the blame, not sharp and I wonder if maybe the weather had a little to do with it... Lots of missed tackles and they played coverage scared.

This game did have an eerily similar feeling to Week 2 of last year, tough road loss with a lot of questions following the game about the direction of the team... we're still on track to dominate the season boys, no need for panic yet.

I would love to see Tampa Bay later in the playoffs, no way they repeat that shit on us a 2nd time.

I had this exact same thought!

All is fair....I was ready to accept the team taking the challenge of this guy. But, even with all the issues with this unit, I am fine with them not taking on such a risk.

Speaking of risk....I am not sure if Parker is a "problem child". He certainly has not lived up to hype, been oft injured and accused of not playing up to his level for the Dolphins. That does sound eerily similar to the running back we got last Halloween.

I am more interested in a flier on Parker, perhaps. If cheap it would be worth checking out.

At the same time.....I am thinking more about this. What do we have once we get Alshon back? Pretty much the same WR corp we won with last year. Smith is gone, and Wallace was meant to be a wash there. But, really, isn't just about anyone at least close to a wash for what Smith gave us last year?

We get Alshon back (along with Carson spooling back up). Then we have someone like Sproles that we did not have last year.....the more I am thinking about it the more I wonder if the WR issues are just greatly magnified with Alshon (and to a similar degree Wentz) out right now.

Parker is who I really want them to pursue. His numbers were not great, but imagine having Wentz and this offense throwing to him? He's only 25. I hope Howie looks into him.

Yet another WR to keep on eye on with respect to a potential trade is Tyrell Williams from the LA Chargers. Has posted some decent numbers the past 2 seasons in LA, but has been taken over as the #2 WR over there by 2nd year man Mike Williams and he's also a free agent after the season. Still a young guy at 26 years old and I have no idea if the Chargers would be willing to consider trading him.

Agreed. He just feels like a bust at this point. Unlike Braxton who feels more like he hasn’t had the right chance.

I’m sure Parker could come cheap enough to be worth a shot. But at this point I actually feel better about Miller playing his way in with this offense than Parker coming and showing more.

I loved Parker coming out of college and that player is a perfect fit for Carson Wentz style, but he's more of a risk than Alshon was last year.

If Josh Adams is fully healthy and gets a real shot ... I think he runs away with the starting job. Ajayi nor Sproles will be back next season and I think the Birds consider Clement more of a complimentary Back than a starter. Smallwood is nothing more than just another body at the position.

Ajayi and Sproles are out for Sunday and also probably Clement - according to Pro Football Talk.
That would leave Smallwood and Adams at RB.

so, are you saying Wentz is going to need to throw the ball 75 times in his first game back... ?
