People are still hedging their bets on the pick'ems I see. One clean sheet in so far and they bet both ways on the weekly game taking Stanford in one, and the ducks in the other.

If @Vitamike or @SUBuddha can see who turned in the first line they can see who has started that off this week. :whistle:
It's all blind for us until the results are posted. Here are the folks who have hedged to date in the first 3 weeks.

Week 1
@corn train; @UtahUte; @TheDayMan.

Week 2
No one

Week 1
@corn train; @Justin Tyme; @UtahUte.

Could be they don't know the rules.

Gents, please select the same team for both games in the Game of the Week. (No Hedging is allowed according to the spirit and history of the rules) When we started this, all scoring was done manually and the Game of the Week counted for 2 points. Since the pickem doesn't allow us to assign more than a single point, we now list the Game of the Week twice for this reason, and this reason only.

Thanks for your cooperation.

We have our answer, took some work on the back end. I posted the same score for both versions and then temporarily closed the week.
I thought about doing that too. A lot of work LOL.

For example,
Corn Train, Justin Tyme, sportsguy, and UtahUte (LOL!) all did the split pick thing last week. That's easy to figure out.
Sportsguy was good, he just picked the opposite team for the teaser. I'm all good with that...

Didn’t hurt me one bit. Apparently sport forums is where ya’ll get off. Dood I work long hours, make killer money to worry about you guys on here.
I’m 12 years away from retirement with two pensions and a 6 figure severance. Oh and guess what Boeing did fly us up to huskie stadium that year it opened. We golfed across the bay there you know the one. Then we went back to the stadium. Where I took a piss on the sideline. So ya I’m good. That made my day.

You’re full of shit.

I guess I'm not understanding the rules, what am I doing wrong and how to correct it?

:stephena:

Why do we have to pick the game of the week twice again? I sure as fuck didn’t mean to pick both ways.

I know everyone was super excited for this pickem feature that eliminated the need for spreadsheets that seem to work fine for every other SportsHoopla game, but it does suck some balls. God forbid you don’t remember to pick a team to win twice AND enter a score, that would just be too confusing.

For example this week Stanford and Oregon +1.5 is listed twice, the first one ill pick for or ATS, the second I just select whichever one the betting trends are favoring. I assume this is the hedge so my question is why its listed twice in the first place? Lets go ahead and assume I didn't read the rules @Vitamike

The game of the week is entered on there anywhere from 2 to 4 times. If they didn’t do it that way, and have you enter your score prediction, it wouldn’t be clear who you’re picking, or something.

I'm surprised I haven't picked the same game both ways. I sometimes don't do the score pick till a day or two after I made the game picks and I don't check who I picked so I'm just going on who I think I picked.

We used to run this by hand and assigned double the points to the game of the week.

When we switched to using the pickem engine here there was no option for adding more value to one game so they list it twice.

Is it cheating? No, of course not. But it's against the intent of having two and is a little cheesy. It was hysterical that someone did it against their own team.

Seems I did it against my own team. I responded correctly by blaming the game, taking my ball and leaving when called out on it. @UtahUte could learn a thing or two.

Actually I could take all you fuckers out. Who’s the biggest of you all. I’ll start with you, then I’ll move on to the smaller runts, because that’s what we do. Semper Fi! Call me a pussy on a forum. Your childish! It’s banter on my part but apparently I hurt your tiny little pussys with rainbows. Grow up you sensitive little cunts! FFS

Thanks, this sums it up for me, I didn't realize I was hedging and that wasn't my intent, I was just following the betting trends. Ill correct it in the future. To be fair the Book can dock me a point for week one

No, I once convinced my wife that’s where they got their mascot.
