Seems like a decent time to make this thread.

Anyone think some Pac-12 teams finally make the jump to the Big 12?

I wouldn’t be surprised. But ultimately, I think it comes down to what the PAC could end up getting in a television deal. Believe that most probably want to stay where they are though but if the money isn’t good, it will be interesting to see what they all ultimately do.
I still think Oregon and Washington are biding their time waiting on a B1G invite.

Not sure why Colorado would even consider the Big 12. If the B1G is serious about wanting Washington, Colorado should hitch its wagon to them to the B1G. Colorado offers 10 times what Oregon would to the B1G.

The BIG isn't serious if USC has their way... USC would prefer both UW/UO fuck off and they reap the rewards themselves. Even if it's for like 10 years. BIG is focused on the ACC schools.

Colorado isn't in any way more valuable than Oregon really. AAU is a nice pretext, but that's small potatoes if there was actually big football money involved.

I disagree. Colorado is a much better school perception wise. They aren’t a great athletics school as of now but they bring in how many times the potential ad revenue that Oregon would. Denver is a huge market, Seattle and Portland aren’t for the B1G. But my bias also is I think Arizona State should be the hottest free agent out there.

Oregon is a national brand, at least in comparison to Colorado. Colorado is barely relevant in Colorado anymore. It's not the 90's anymore. Could change if Sanders turns them around, but Colorado as a program/brand has no real comparison to Oregon at the moment. Colorado works fine as a Big 12 add. Nobody in the PAC 12 is a viable BIG add really in the eyes of the BIG.

The networks (the people who fund expansion) value TV viewership. 2022 viewership:

Oregon - 2.21 (12th nationally)
Colorado - 353K (67th nationally)

This is why Oregon is ahead of Colorado in the Big Ten line. And honestly, if there's going to be more west coast expansion, they're going to look for travel partners. Oregon and Washington are an obvious pair.

If you want ND, UO/UW/Stanford are going to be way more attractive than Colorado. Denver has a lot of Catholics but they aren't necessarily ND fans, alums or potential students like SF, Portland and Seattle provide. UVA, UNC, GT and Miami would be my odds on favorite for a B24G.

This is ridiculous. College football needs a complete overhaul. I know I'm stating the obvious, but SHIT.
