Which is terrible. Wilson is a complete stud and handed it to Theo in the champ game. I have said it for over a year Wilson is easily the #1 WR in Texas. Kid is plug and play. Not having him in the top 3 is ridiculous. I would have Dylan Wright and Wease as the top
2 for the NFL though. I actually think Arjei is over-rated and Bridges is better than him.[/QUOTE

WR
Theo Wease

– I was impressed with his work against
Derek Stingley Jr.
and he was solid in 7-on-7. His upside is higher than Bridges and Palmer because he’s bigger and stronger and he showed he’s one of the best.

He dominated against the #1 recruit in the nation.

4. WR
Trejan Bridges

– He wasn’t great during the early session but he was dominant in 7-on-7 play and made so many great catches that the Sooners commitment has me looking at him in a much better light. And he was ranked pretty high to start with.

Bridges has the best hands and body control. He will need to add 20lbs or so, he will most likely RS, if he comes in under 180lbs.

Sweet. I have 0 issues with Wease. I have consistently had him as a top 2 WR. I said Bridges was better than Henderson. Your examples enforce that. In Texas you want at least one of the Ws, Wilson, Wright, and Wease. Wilson is the most polished by far. Wright has the most upside, but is the most raw. Rivals has 1 in the top 3, it's a joke

I’ll admit, Rivals has been really bad lately. It pretty much comes down to whether you play their game and go to their events or not.

They also seem very slow to update. That is one of my bigger issues with them. While I think saying OU has the top 3 Texas WRs is ridiculous, they still have a damn good trio of talent there.

Butt-hurt high school coach.

Northwestern did nothing wrong...it is fairly common practice to pull scholarship offers if a kid gets injured prior to his commitment. Now if the kid had already committed, and then the scholarship was taken away, that would be unscrupulous.

Basically it's a case of 'if you snooze, you lose'. The kid states that Northwestern was his school of choice...he received an offer from Northwestern back on March 14th. If Northwestern was his school of choice, he should have committed sometime in April or May. But.... he didn't commit, and then he re-injures his same ACL a few weeks ago.....oh well..... once again.....you snooze, you lose.

Heck, the article even states that the four other B1G schools (Purdue, Minnesota, Iowa, Indiana) that originally gave the kid an offer had also pulled those offers.

Kids and their families need to realize it's smart to commit early, and then if your dream school later on extends an offer, you can flip your commitment. The new early official visit window combined with parents now also receiving paid official visits makes early committing easier than in years past.

Pretty low thing to do after a kid commits.

However, this is probably a blessing in disguise....

....since 4-star WR TJ Sheffield is a slippery 5'10" slot man, he would probably flourish in the hi-octane offensive systems of both Purdue and Syracuse. So it's no surprise that both the Boilermakers and Orange are going after this kid.

Syracuse Offers 4-Star WR TJ Sheffield After Notre Dame Drops Him

Before he committed to Notre Dame, Sheffield's other three finalists were Purdue, Ohio State, and Arkansas. Here is an article from last week just prior to Sheffield's Notre Dame commitment:

GoldandBlack.com - Purdue wide receiver target TJ Sheffield announcing later this week

I would give the edge to Purdue....methinks Jeff Brohm is going to build a very good program in West Lafayette......plus, Purdue now has a fancy brand new football facility.

Sadly, I don't think we could do any better.

I think they could get the same results without dealing with the constant nonsense that seems to follow Kelly

I don't know. We had to deal with Davie, Willingham and Weis before Kelly. Not exactly the best track record.

This is a very interesting commit for Michigan.... I normally would not make a post regarding a 3-star recruit (David Ojabo is a high 3-star).....but.....

SDE David Ojabo out of New Jersey is from Nigeria via Scotland, and has only been playing football for one year (actually, 7 games)... but despite his lack of football experience, he is already rated as a high 3-star.

Word has it that Ojabo's athleticism is outstanding... apparently he is a beast/freak. This could be a recruiting steal for Michigan.... remember the name David Ojabo over the next few years. Also keep in mind that Michigan has one of the best Defensive Coordinators in Don Brown and D-line coach's in Greg Mattison......so, Ojabo could possibly develop very quickly.

David Ojabo, Blair Academy, Strong-Side Defensive End

Methinks Jimmy is happy about this commit.

Interesting offer list. Kid appears to be extremely smart. Had offers from every Ivy League school. Michigan seems like a good fit for him academically and athletically.

Despite only playing one year of football (actually only 7 games), Michigan SDE commit David Ojabo got his bump up to 4-stars after looking very good during the Summer camps & workouts.

I think this kid is going to develop into a big time player.
