lol.....hey did you see Dan's statement? It was the picture of restraint....i am suuuuuuuuuuuuuuure it was what he was really thinking too.

I was pretty much resigned to this starting back on Thursday after things I was hearing.

I just hope they dont try and win next year and they go into a rebuild---- though it might not be a bad idea to at least START the season trying to win to drive up the value on some guys before hopefully a house cleaning at the deadline.

At least the cupboard is not ENTIRELY bare like last time and they should have pretty clean books starting after this year-besides Clarkson and Thompson- and each of those guys will be on 1 year deals.

Id trade Korver if I could get anything for him. Guy still shoots over 40% from 3, and had a couple really good playoff games where he actually played defense.

I dunno....its definitely a time to regroup and reflect on the last 4 years of seeing LeBron here, winning a ship and going t othe Finals four times.

James did all he could to leave them as bare as he possible.

I just have to believe another shoe will be dropping sooner- whether its Kawhi or something.

It still boggles my mind that LeBron would sacrifice his age 34 and go into it knowing he has little chance of even making the Conference Finals, let alone the Finals. That surprises me. It really really does.

He probably has, at least what i think, is 2 more years as the NBA's best player- and this upcoming year he will not make the Finals. That really really surprises me. It seriously shocks me.

Doesn't shock me. Was Lebron supposed to stay in Cleveland and get swept by the Warriors again? Putting all of those miles on his body, just to get swept?

Lebron with this roster will probably exit out in the 2nd round. The difference between 8 and 9 straight Finals appearances is minuscule and a moot point.

hey, lol ill take what i can get.

LEBron will be 34 in December and will not make the Finals this year, and probably wont make the conference Finals. He has more miles on him than any pro athlete in the history of the world at his age. Let me mope in peace!

luckily they didnt trade that lotto pick for DeAndree Jordan or something stupid like that.

We’ll see what “luckily” translates into.
My guess is that the Cavs become and stay as every other Cavs team is without James.

Well then if Kawhi really wants to play for the Lakers, then the Lakers can just sit back and wait for him until the 2019-2020 season. :noidea:

That worked out well with Paul George.

Leonard doesn't strike me as the type to change his mind as often as PG did. They aren't close to being the same type of person.

But, I think the Lakers will now be focused on a trade.....wether it be the summer or at the deadline when the Spurs could face seeing him walk away as a free agent in the summer. They won't get as much for him at the deadline as they could this summer.

They are playing a high stakes game of chicken.

I disagree. PG didn't start to waffle until AFTER he was traded. Kawhi has already let it known that he would be open to playing in other locations.

Good point, but what else can the Lakers do, except give up most of the young players for a player that may not sign an extention anyway. Besides isn't Kawhi
injury prone?
