If they're in rebuild mode by then, which they very well could be, that would be so stupid. His value has never been this high. They could bring back a king's ransom for him.

Are you an actual member of the Browns front office? That would explain a lot.

Projection gold star.

Here's a hint: I will rarely do a point by point rebuttal of your posts. They don't merit that level of work.
Translation=I got nothing so I'll selectively chose which points I'll address. That way anyone just checking in has no idea what the actual context of the posts were:thumb:

Just in case eh? So that people 'just checking in' will know who to respect.

Heh.

No, I'm just Kevin Costner.

Waterworld wan't as bad as people say.

As a Browns fan, though, I'd have figured you'd be more aware than nearly anybody about the value of a top QB.

But you rebuild around a franchise QB though. Teams without one churn through all sorts of resources to find one. And it's not like Tom Brady and Ben Roethlisberger have played with the exact same cast of characters for the last 15 years.

When was the last time an organization just let a top 5-7 QB walk? The closest things you can find are Peyton Manning and Drew Brees, and both of those guys were coming off pretty serious injury, and both of their teams had just invested a 1st round pick on a QB for that reason.

Fair point, but he's going to cost more money than any QB in the league, and it's not like Seattle is flush with cap space. By then, he'll also be 32, and as a running QB there's a good chance he's getting to the point where that really takes a toll. If they're a bad team with a good QB, why not just tear it all down and start again?

If he costs more than any other QB in the league, all that really means is his contract is the newest. And a franchise tag in 2020 puts his salary at around $30M, which is going to be the going rate or maybe even slightly under. By that time, the salary cap will be around $205M if it continues to increase 8%+ a year like it has. This far out, it's just not possible to have some sort of accurate figure of a team's cap space either. What you're suggesting the Hawks should do is just not something actual teams do.

32 means 8 more years (by the Brady standard)

Well I think you're wrong. Take that for what it's worth. I bring facts and stats and because they don't paint a rosie picture a handful of 12s get all sensitive and bent out of shape. It's not like I'm the only one that's said this over the past couple years. Thus starts the shit talking until those same 12s get offended and totally disregard the subject being debated. It's all good most of us are used to it. We've seen it since 2013.
OBTW have you noticed these threads were designed to troll, stir the pot, talk shit? Or does your sensitivity blind you once again.
Damn 12s grow a pair.
You or any of the other posters wishing to take emotions out of your responses and add anything of value or quantifiable retorts would be appreciated.

This is too funny. This all started because I predicted an 8-8 season for the Hawks backed up with facts. Some of you are just too much.

Why do you need 70 posts to say the same over and over again?

Yes I am aware you are predicting an 8-8 season. And you cherry pick the data you want to support that claim.

If the Seahawks have as many injuries this year as they had last year then they will be lucky to be 8-8.

There's no way the Seahawks could ever get a trade offer worth moving Wilson for. Teams' DVOA's have gone UP, not down, after signing their QB's to big deals. Yes, it's harder to build a SB team than a cheap good/great QB, but you're always in the mix. Few will predict Seattle to be a top 5 pick recipient.

I have to admite @NWPATSFAN dedication to trying to convince everyone that the Seahawks are going to suck. Never takes his eye off the ball.

When we make the playoffs this season I'm gonna tell him "I told you so." LOL.

If the Seahawks were willing to trade Wilson they would get a king's ransom for him.

But it wouldn't be enough to justify trading him.

He'll either ignore you or he's have some excuse as to why the Seahawks were better than he predicted.

Exactly. No reasonable team is going to give up what it would take to make the Seahawks consider the offer seriously.

Analysts and critics do the very same thing all the time. Not gonna be any different with him. That just means we'll be underrated all year.
