January before the Super Bowl.
The January right before the SB the Seahawks won? Just asking because there are a lot of January’s before the SB. So January 2013?

The month before the Super Bowl. I spent the Super Bowl in Kansas where I got my new job. Not exactly the welcome I was hoping for in seeing my team get slaughtered.

Well no doubt there were plenty of causal fans that year that became “super fans”. I sure it was similar in Denver the year they won it. How about these Eagles fans?:rolleyes2:

I grew up just a few hours from Denver. It is not the same. That city lives and breaths Bronco football. They couldn't care less about the baseball or basketball team. Heck 2nd most popular sport might be the MLS. Even when the Broncos are down right terrible they have always dominated the airwaves. Yes of course when the team is good just like any other you have people come around a little bit more often. Especially when we added a guy like Peyton Manning that has such national appeal, but for the most part the entire city just loves their Broncos and always have. It is why they have I think the 2nd longest sell out streak in the NFL only behind the Redskins.

Maybe if you were a Raider fan you might feel differently? Just bringing that up because I know a Raider fan that lives there and he has a different outlook.

I've taken a lot of Chiefs fans to the area and they are always shocked by how much Broncos gear is everywhere and how obsessed the town is with the Broncos. Outsiders seem to complain a lot that sports radio spends 95% of their air time talking about the Broncos even in the offseason.

Well my Raider fan has a 180 view from yours. Think living in enemy territory brings that out. Some of the hardest Seahawks critics here are fans of other teams that live here or have lived here like your self. Just goes with the territory I guess.

I've lived all over the country. I can tell you not every city is the same. Miami I couldn't hardly find a Dolphins fan. San Diego they couldn't care less how good or bad the Chargers were.

Now go to Kansas City and boom they have a ridiculous fanbase. Some of the craziest fans I've met but at the same time some of the nicer ones. I've only had one bad experience in KC with Chiefs fans and well of course a ton of alcohol was involved. Again though you see Chiefs gear everywhere even on non-game days. This is college but being in Lincoln oh my goodness you do not speak ill of the Huskers. Those are fighting words. Compare that to I went to Manhattan for college and K-State fans on game day were crazy but throughout the week hardly anything. I've not lived in the North East so can't tell you anything about teams up there. Obviously Wisconsin that entire state is dedicated to the Packers. Might as well change the name of the State. Minnesota it wasn't close to that type of experience.

Just throwing this out there, the 12's since 12 shouldn't be allowed at CenturyLink just to watch this sub .500 season. They'll be back in a year though because Goff is a joke of a QB and they'll have to pay their guys and so is Rosen is a joke. So it's between the 49ers and Hawks from 19-22

Through the past two decades yes it has.
However they haven't had a steady decline since they won their last SB. Albeit it has been a one game slide, or a return to the SB with a loss, or a first round playoff loss, or not making the playoffs it has been a trending decline for Seattle.

Statistics ain't your strongpoint either. Whowouldathunk?

Does 8-8 equal suck?
I enjoy seeing Hawk fans trying to convince people Seattle should be competitive. Especially when their argument is because they'll have RW for another decade. Doesn't matter that he has no receivers and an unproven RB and Oline.

Heh. Holy fuck. Backpedal much? 8 and 8?

Too funny.

Wow you people really need to re-read this thread if you want to see posters with escape clauses.

You have 60 posts in this thread. More than anyone else. That isn't just offering your opinion. It's straight trolling.

Actually it's not bashing, more like an over sensitive fan base that can't take a bit of criticism.

Irony... ah fuck it, it's not like you're capable of ever seeing it.

Always tough to ever think your team is in decline especially after a great run like the Seahawks have had over the last 5-6 years. Believe me I know the feeling watching the Broncos go from Super Bowl champs to 5-11 within 2 years because of a loss of great talent on the roster. Hard to reset your expectations for your team. Patriot fans will go through it most likely when Brady and/or Belichick retire. Just the course of the NFL.

And whatr's the BIGGEST position bugaboo that Denver has had?

You get one answer, because we all know what it is.

And that's the basis of my entire argument as to why Seattle MIGHT not be as bad as some people think.

Which apparently triggers NWP so hard he's Don Quixoting this windmill of a thread.

Not sure where you think I'm backpedaling from? Then again cherry picking or lack of reading comprehension are your specialties.
