I think of him more as a James White type. Probably will end up with more catches than carries. I think Penny has the tools to become a legit 3 down back though.

If you remember correctly, McKissic was drafted as a WR until we converted him to RB. I do agree with you on Penny being a 3 down back though but that will take time honestly.

I'm more concerned about the lack of attention the OL got in the draft. RW3 is gonna be running for his life all season
Don't you think replacing Cable is an instant upgrade?

Gotta live with your QB getting killed due to poor cap decisions I guess.
Those poor cap decisions won us a SB. Seattle has been the most successful team in the NFCW since they arrived on `02. I believe Seattle has won more NFCW crowns than the rest of our division opponents combined.
The Rams are on a roll right now. An official mini roll. Try to remain humble.

Hard to imagine making bad deals would actually win your team a Super Bowl but we pulled it off against the Broncos a few years ago. I'm hoping with the guys we drafted we can get back there this season.

When your all pro defense who's in their mid 20's contracts are up, yes they need to be resigned and yes the cap becomes tight. Nothing to do with poor cap decisions. The problem was the FO wasn't hitting on o-line guys for various reasons when drafted.

Have to disagree. When you have what you think is your franchise QB on the roster and playing, you need to protect that investment. Otherwise, you get a battered Andrew Luck; the Colts have done him no favors. I just don't feel the proper emphasis was placed on OL.

Wilson was drafted in 2012 and won the job in camp. Since that year, the only early picks spent on OL were Britt in 2014, Ifedi in 2016, and Pocic in 2017. In the meantime they traded away their stud C for a receiving-only TE. Sure, some of the later picks could've done more, and maybe that's on the coaching, but you've got to protect that investment in Wilson.

This has nothing to do with rooting for a division rival. I'm a fan of Wilson's game (wish the Bills would've been smart enough to draft him) and see him headed down the same road as another fave, Andrew Luck. That defense (along with Lynch) certainly has been the driving force for the Hawks' success, but not investing around your franchise QB is inadvisable.

You don't let the D walk in their prime. When they're being talked about with the Ravens D and Bears D you lock them up and yes that'll take up cap space. You're forgetting Seattle also brought in FA's as well as drafting the guys you mentioned but it hasn't panned out the way we have hoped and all Hawks fans blame Tom Cable for our continuous disaster on the line. Thankfully he's gone and hope our new guy can make a difference.

Couldn't have said it any better myself.

True, but imo only PR and Shead were hopefully keepers. I'm saddened about Avril's injury status and it is unfortunate to see him gone.
The rest were allowed to leave.
Most non Hawk fans look at who we lost yet pay little attention to what we got. Most Seahawk fans are pretty happy about the new folks coming in, be it draft picks or coaches.
If this draft fixes our run game, we will be competitive once again.

We're gonna be a different team this season without all those guys. I'm getting a strong feeling we'll have a positive atmosphere in the locker room with the guys who are still here along with the young kids we drafted which will lead to a great team morale which will then turn into more wins and a playoff berth.
