it has been brought to my attention that in the past i have made stances about name calling and insulting . and that has been true and i enforced those standards then

however in the past few years i have not enforced that and even participated in the insulting and name calling

as a mod i should have nipped that in the bud , but i did not and hence made a mistake

i figured if i was insulted and name called that , it was ok to do it back , it was not and it has and will degenerate into a name calling contest which we dont want

so as of today i will not engage in insulting or trading insults back with posters i will use the terms CDC , SDFC ABCers but i will not call people morons dumb , or any variation of dumb , stupid , assholes etc

i apologize to the many of posters i have done that too . it shouldnt have happened but that doesnt mean i am going to bow down and not give my opinion or stand by it

it will be hard to enforce , and i will be in correction mode in about a week so get it all out now

that should give me enough time to be able to enforce that rule with the legitimacy i need

so i own my mistakes and now it will be fixed

As for @deanpet21 wanting some one to admit they question Smiths talent.

I do. I think he is no better than the old washed up Mark Brunell we had. As much as people say the last QB didnt make the players around him better. I think Smith was the benefactor of a good coach and a good team around him, with a system designed to protect his flaws. So yes I doubt his talent. And as i expect Bruce to give him more talent than what he gave our last QB last year..... this season should be interesting.

I think Smith was the benefactor of a good coach and a good team around him, with a system designed to protect his flaws. So yes I doubt his talent. And as i expect Bruce to give him more talent than what he gave our last QB last year..... this season should be interesting.

I think he is worse than Brunell. I expect fewer yards and TDs than he had last season and more interceptions by quite a few.

There's truly nothing to be guilty of when all that's happening is a course correction. I have stated on numerous occasions that we have THE best mods on the hoop and, there's nothing about this that has changed my mind. In fact, when posters/ members invoke previously held norms, it is a testament to the standards set by our mod team. We're all human and as such will test and be tested by calls to step out of character. Thank you, and the other mods for being stronger than your weakest moments, open to such reminders, and, willing to make the aforementioned course corrections.

There's truly nothing to be guilty of when all that's happening is a course correction.
