this favors my stance more .. we got good players but are they really that good if a starter goes down and we still get the same results with the street free agents .. we play hard but we lose at the end ,, dude its the same results as are starters get .... .. i win @skinsdad62

perhaps the most foolish thing ever posted . we have given up way more sacks with the BU's in and gained less yds per carry so we aint the same

You are even dumber that I thought. They get the same results when the starters go down? WTF? The O line was the most decimated during the Boys game & the backup unit was awful & cost them the game to a large degree. I don't mean to come down hard on the backups - they are backups for a reason. When they started to get a little healthier - like in the Saints game - the O line did a lot better. Note that most of the losses have come as the injuries became worse & BTW genius a loss is a loss - the margin doesn't really matter. There are a lot of bad teams who brag about losing a lot of close games - just means that they are losing.

To claim that a guy off the street will do almost as well as say Trent Williams is beyond moronic. Again - use the rest of the year for your shopping sprees. It will also provide you with time to think about what team you would like to root for next season since you are obviously not a Redskins fan just like your fellow idiot fan Country.
jesus christ with are starters we lose without are starters we lose = the same ...... yawn

Dumb beyond belief. Again - stop saying "we" - you are not on the team & appear to root against the Redskins all of the time. Happy Thanksgiving Cowboys fan.

BTW Indiana guy - your Perine example is flawed. The Redskins actually did play w/ a lot of their O line starters during most of the game - they were injured more during the game. The O line in that game did quite well - will be much tougher moving fwd w/ so many of the OL guys being on IR or badly injured. Beyond that the Redskins benefited from the Saints defense not playing very well. The opponent has a lot to do w/ the outcome so you can't simply compare this to other games.

To say that any team is better off w/ backups rather than starters just makes no sense. Learn the game of football. Happy Thanksgiving.

Another game, another round of injuries, another game where KC makes a great throw to beat an inferior team, and a young player or three steps up. I swear, the more I think about it, the more I think that the direction of the redskins in the long term hinges on the resigning of KC at qb.

Clewrly, the redskins have pretty fucking good backups, or at least a great scouting department, and a lot more depth than we give them credit for. Case in point: dallas now
without ONE impactful player, and the Giants without really OBJ.

It all goes through KC, and if Gruden loves him, and Gruden Is a good coach - which he is -
then the only thing that matters is signing KC longterm.

I would be a little more fair to both teams.

The NYG lost maybe the best player in the game (not where I put him) and their next two WRs. So they are on their fourth and fifth WRs as starters.

Are you referring to Tyron Smith as the impact player because he is the most important part missing Dallas offense? Then on the other side, they are missing their most important part on defense with Sean Lee.

I thought that might be the case. It is a lot to ask guys to play 4 days later if they are healthy but a lot need a full week of rest and treatment to get back on the field.

Got out of the Giants game with nothing notable so Jay says. We’ll see next Tues, I fully expected to see Moses, Dox and Zach listed.

And it wasn't like the Giants were killin it when Beckham was playing. I don't know if Smith is more important than Elliot to the Cowboys. I think it'd be accurate to say both are pretty significant. The Dallas defense is a different animal when Lee plays and imo he's the Cowboys best overall player. Their receivesrs/TEs aren't bustin much of a grape either.

Your honesty was appreciated though. Seems like a few posters are putting too much stock into beating a shitty Giants team. Just like too much stock was put into beating a shitty Raiders team.

The only reason I mentioned NYG and Dallas injuries is people are discounting their missing players. When you are starting your fourth and fifth best WRs, that is tough to overcome, especially without a running game. I do agree, NY didn’t do much with them early but talent was at least there.

As for Dallas, all their woes are going towards missing Zeke but their current slide coincided with Smith as well, and Dak has paid a price in hits. Compound that with Martin last game and it is almost equivalent to us being without TW and BS.

It is cool. Didn’t really think you were. I just know a few in here we have to be very, VERY, specific with...even then they try to change your words.

I was being absolutely fair to both teams. The Giants lost their top 3 wrs, one of whom is awesome (OBJ), one of whom was in decline on a bad Jets team, and one of whom is a poor man's Jamison Crowder. They also lost a few Olinemen. They look terrible and are 2-9, failing to score 20 points in most of their games. Sheli Manning is done. They have no running game. The defense took a giant step backward.

That's on coaching and the GM.

The Cowboys lost an All-Pro OL, and an All-Pro RB. I don't know if Sean Lee has been an all pro, but he's pretty freakin' good. They also look terrible - their defense is STILL not very good - and can't score 10 points without Elliot OR Smith.

That's ALSO on coaching and the GM.

Meanwhile, the Redskins have lost twice as many players as both teams combined - twice as many starters, for certain, and STILL manage to put together a decent team with a decent amount of weapons on both sides of the ball.

That is ALSO on coaching and the GM.

The redskins have a great coaching staff, benefitted from a few very good draft classes, currently have a pretty good scouting department that can sign adequate players off the street, and also damn well better sign KC longterm. He's the most important part.

Now you, gekoka, and you, Breed, can continue to suck face.

My whole statement hinged around your statement above. You said to look at Dallas without ONE, and even capitalized one, impactful player to somehow discount a Dallas team that won 14 last season, had a better record than us this season, and beat us this season. I just wanted to point out Dallas was missing far more impact than Zeke.

As for NY, they are starting their fourth and fifth best at is huge.

If we are going to talk about injuries derailing our season, as we should, we have to be fair to other teams in similar boats.

Last year is last year. As Bill Parcells said, "You are what your record says you are."

Maybe ONE impactful player is an oversimplification for the cowboys. Lee and Zeke. Tryon Smith. Now the center.

And they can't score, or stop teams from beating the snot out of them, can't block, can't pass, and can't run.

As for NY, if Brandon Marshall was slated to be your #2 wr this year, considering how clearly he lost a step last year, then there was something wrong with your talent evaluation to begin with.

Case in point: ALL his stats, here:

Brandon Marshall Stats | Pro-Football-Reference.com

Despite playing in the same amount of games, every single stat category fell off a cliff last year, from the year before.

That's on the GM. Like I said.

I don't know if you still have time to do it or not, but if you can, go back and mention the name Kirk Cousins as an addendum to your post, so that you too won't be added to the "ABC'er"....."Hater" list.:D
