Fine - like I said I agreed w/ you on that one (which can be debated by others). That doesn't make Carroll one of the worst coaches ever.

Maybe I went over the top but I just cant stand him. I think he is so over rated it isn't funny. Thank You Pete for yesterday.

Then why can't you just say that to begin with dean? How about this, "I just miss-spoke and was wrong, cheater pete is not a bad coach, I just can't stand him", and leave it at that.

We are all thanking Pete, the kicker and other seahawks today!

HTTR!

Carrolls two point tries were worst coaching calls ever. YOu never take a point of the board early in the game. The last TD if they kick the point they can win with a FG. Redskins had to score a TD. He is an overrated moron. Don't even hate on this defense. Spectacular performance yesterday. Yes KC threw a great pass to Quick but it was an over throw to Doctson. Doctson made that play all by himself. Full extension drive and great catch going to the ground.

Going for two is not a bad thing at all when your kicker missed three FGs already. The XP is no longer a gimmie.

Why go for 2. it doesnt make sense. we needed a td no matter what. most over rated coach in NFL history if you ask me.

First, Pete Carroll is the worst coach that has ever won a college national title, been to two SBs, and won a SB. He is also the best to ever do this.

Now, you go for two for a couple of reasons. The first is your kicker has already missed three FGs and is likely looking for a new job today. What makes you believe he is all of a sudden going to make anything?

The other reason you go for two is to make it a six point game. Going up five is absolutely pointless. Time is running out and you don't expect to get the ball back. You go for two so it can be a six point lead. That way if the Redskins get a TD, they still have to make the 2 point conversion.

Please. The fact that Cousins is still standing after playing that D with that line in that stadium is amazing. Actually being able to lead several drives & win the game is a miracle. I give credit to the OL backups for doing the best that they can, but most are backups for a reason.

Cmon - Dean - let's hear ot. You have always stated that Cousins can't win the big game or come through in the clutch. This game IMO proves that he is making strides in this area. I see no choice for this team now but to retain Cousins next season (& don't say that it is strictly Cousins choice - the team needs to make a legit offer). IMO a rookie QB in the same situation today would have been a complete disaster. HTTR

FWIW I think this game just highlights how dumb it is to overreact to a couple crunch time plays.

Kirk isnt clutch now just like he wasn't a choker after the Giants game last year.

well.. yes. look at the situation

They needed a FG either way... (although really id argue they needed a TD either way because they couldn't trust Walsh).

And if they had gotten the 2 pt the skins xp becomes meaningful.

Plus the expected value of going for 2 was just straight up higher than kicking the xp.

If Seattle kicks the Xp after the Baldwin TD they would only be down 2 after the Skins TD. So they would have a chance to WIN the game with 59 seconds left. You got to be kidding me dude. Its a bad call.

Well - disagree. I am not equating this to winning a playoff game but winning a game in the late stages in SEA IMO shows that he has evolved. I equate this to the Cards game several seasons ago where he threw a back breaking INT to seal the game for the Cards. Cousins was running for his life most of yesterday. To be able to keep his calm & make some clutch throws is pretty big IMO. No - perhaps they were not perfect throws - but so what? Lots of huge pass plays in NFL history were the result of not so perfect passes.

Taking that hit (i.e. roughing the passer call) was also huge for Cousins. Lots of QBs would have done all that they could & not have made the throw in that situation. Takes some guts & gains a lot of respect in the process.

another dfense of Caroll. lol. you guys kill me. I just happy we benefit from this ass.
NOT defending Carroll, simply pointing out you are wrong. The guy regardless of his moral character is a good coach. You said he wasn't. Setting the record straight, not defending this guy you call an ass. Look in the mirror dude!

I'm aware. And youre significantly overestimating the odds of then having a chance to kick a FG in that situation based on when the decision was made.

Did anyone not see Jameis Winston's throws when he was under siege yesterday? To say he stood tall in the pocket under adversity would be embellishing things a bit. Go take a look for yourself.

I think standing in and taking hits throughout the game was a good thing.

I just don't think throws in the final 2 minutes mean any more than throws in the first 58. His performance in any game is what he did over the entire 60 minutes.

I don't think you are. they still can win if they kick the xp. If you fail on the 2 point you tie. I would want to win not tie.

Which is why you have zero cred here.

lol yea right. Look at the likes and Trophies. Defensing PG is laughable. He made a huge gaff yesterday. Huge. Good coaches do not do that.
