Are the Chiefs our toughest game this year?

I was just looking at the schedule and I cant find any team that we play this year better than the Chiefs. Vikings without Cook is a plus. Seattle in Sea is actually winnable now. Seattle doesnt look strong at all this year. Denver is strong. I think Denver is the 2nd toughest game on our schedule. Cowboys are not looking the same at all.

So a win tonight would be huge in getting into the playoffs. I had us a 2-2 at the bye but a 3-1 record could be huge for us. A win tonight will send huge signals throughout the NFL that the Skins are for real this year.

Chiefs are probably the best all-around team in the NFL, and we're playing them on the road, and Cousins usually sucks on MNF... so... yes.

On paper.

But they don't play on paper.

It tough to say what a hard game will be because, especially this season, you never know how teams will progress or who would get hurt. During the preseason, I had checked off the games against Dallas and Seattle as tough games but they don't look so tough right now. So I'd say yes, the Chiefs game is probably the toughest and looking at future opponents, Philly @philly will be tough and I think Denver will be tough too. But, if, for instance, Von Miller gets hurt and is put on IR next week, that changes things. But as of right now, tonight is the test of the season for the Redskins for sure.

Every week is tough. It's the NFL.

That's a blanket corporate-type answer that no one is looking for. You're telling me if the Redskins were playing the Browns right now, it'd be just as tough as playing the Chiefs?

Haha no of course not, as you know what we think prior to the game doesn't really matter. Everything changes once the game starts. If the redskins played the browns, the redskins will probably think its an easy game and thus not play as hard, so in a fact yes they could lose that game (this is what I have observed in years past). I'm just talking about perspective. I mean just take a look at what everyone said about the seahawks prior to the season, and now there are questions about them even making the playoffs. You just never know is my point.

Of course not but a win makes contenders in a tough NFC.

So you are basically lining this up for a complain fest then. A loss leaves us 2-2, where the best records in the conference right now are 3-1.

So tell you what, if we get blown out tonight, feel free to rage against the machine. BUt considering that the Patriots, the Ravens, Cowboys, Texans and a few other "Legit" playoffs contenders are two and two right now, I think I will refrain from going into Peanut Butter Munchy Syndrome mode and take it for what it will likely be. A loss to a good team if we do in fact lose. If we win, we beat a good team, but that no more should get us all giddy than beating the Packers last year. By this time tomorrow we will still have 12 games left to play.

Right now they do "look" winnable, but key injuries here and there (let's hope not:hope:) and what once looked winnable suddenly turns to looking like losses.

My preseason prediction was a split with your team....I'm sticking with that.

(it is beginning to look like that game will go a long way in the division/WC hunt....we'll see)
