I'll never forget when Kansas shocked a Troy Aikman led OU team.

1975 and an undefeated, #2 ranked OU team got beat by KU, in Norman. I think OU turned the ball over almost every time they touched it in the 2nd half. I was at that game and it was a stunner. OU had a 31 game win streak and had won the MNC the previous year. OU did rebound and ended up winning the 75 MNC with an Orange Bowl victory of Michigan. That loss to KU was also the only loss of a Steve Davis lead OU football team.

We are 17-1 in the Big XII the last 2 years.
We were undefeated last year in Big XII play.

We play Tulane next week.
Then move into Conference play and play Baylor then Iowa State then Texas.

What are the odds???
Anyones guess

Wouldn't brag too much if you beat Baylor, Iowa State and Texas.

Hell
Bud Wilkinson was 74 in a row vs the Conference.
Ain't nothing new.

Get your head around that one.

I mean, he technically wasn't 74 in a row. The right stat would be he didn't lose 74 conference games in a row because he didn't win 74 in a row. His first conference game was a tie with Kansas and there was another tie a couple years later with Colorado, I believe. Not taking anything away from him, just getting facts straight because I've noticed you like to twist things to fit your perspective.

Also, teams like Texas and Oklahoma State (back then, Oklahoma A&M) weren't part of the conference. He had to play teams like K-State, Missouri, Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas and Iowa State. Wasn't hard for Oklahoma to dominate the conference.

Dude
74 Games Without a Loss = 74 Straight
If it wasn't hard, then how come no other team in the history of college football has even came close to 79 in a row in Conference play.

You want to make it sound like it's no big thing.

It's not a big thing when you have no competition in the conference. Noone is making a big deal that the Patriots have won 12 straight division titles. Why? Because the Bills, Jets and Dolphins suck ass. Once Oklahoma got some competition in the conference, their domination stopped or at least slowed down. No other team in the history of college football has come close because no other conference in college football went through a period of poor competition like that. I will say that no college team will have that kind of success ever again. That's a record that will NEVER be broken.

Every conference has had it's terrible moments. Oklahoma just had the team and the coach at the right time to make it happen.

"Oklahoma got some competition in the conference, their domination stopped or at least slowed down"

What, by the addition of Oklahoma State?? By not beating Nebraska 16 years straight.??
The only reason it stopped was because Bud Wilkinson got burned out and left coaching, not because another team stepped up. Just like Tom Osborne would have never become Tom Osborne without Barry Switzer leaving Oklahoma.

Get it straight man.

OU fans will melt the fuck down if the beat Okie St in the regular season, then lose to them in the B12 championship game.

At some point, you gotta realize that Oklahoma isn't the greatest everything ever. It's homer fans like you that make people hate certain teams.
