I wouldn't totally be shocked if it was his ankle/heel acting up again, but those never look good on tape. I sure hope it's not the achilles as we could really use his help while Nelson is out.
What was the deal with Peters bein on the sideline too in 4th qtr?

Ah, this may be the case, but Ware was not the reason the running game didn't get much done vs the Steelers or the 2nd half of the season really. It was mostly the OL.
Take a close look, you might realize your chiefs play much better away from home, except when they are playing the broncos and raiders. Playing at home in the playoffs against a team like Pittsburgh usually does not yield good results unless you are Manning or Brady(or Tebow).

Cramp I'd assume. He has had many of those his first two years. Hopefully not a precursor to something.
Sure hope not. He's a helluva player. Wanted him to fall to the Steelers in the '15 draft so badly.

Fervently disagree. The Steelers own us and that's what people are going to remember since it happened twice in primetime last year- with an ugly playoff loss.

Yes, the steelers own you, but the patriots haven't really. I mean KC's won the last two home games and the only blowout was the one without Cassel and Charles.

It's such a minor issue I don't even take it seriously. It's like getting on Hoody for overthinking things. Who cares unless it's highly public and a loss?

Habitual clock mismanagement by a HC is not a minor issue. I don't know how he's been since being the Chiefs HC. When he was in Philly though, Reid, to my utter delight, cost the Eagles a couple times. Including the year the Eagles went to the Super Bowl. Jay Gruden, who I think is a decent HC for the most part. Drives me fuckin insane with his habitual shitty clock management at the end of a half or game.

Belichick has coached his team to the Super Bowl 7 times, winning 5 and the Pats w/o question are the NFL's most successful and flagship franchise in the 2000s. Billy B has earned the right to ponder analyze, over-think, etc till his ass literally falls off.

I think we have a fundamental disconnect on clock management.

It's one of those negative biases where you remember the bad to a 20:1 ratio. It's highly visible, highly annoying (amusing?) but I think it's way in the background and gets way too much play for whatever it's worth.

All I know is Alex Smith looked pretty good for a guy who can't throw it more than 6 yards down field

Tell that to Les Miles.

If you give him defined reads and all day- he's pretty close to unstoppable. Gotta do better than what the Pats did. He'll self sack himself anyways sure- but you can't give him 5 seconds for all intents and purposes either.

We aren't talking about braindead college coaches whom's offense has the play design of a potato. But yeah, then it'd be a problem.
Whom's? Who the fuck are you calling braindead? Time management is time management, genius. I forgot I'm talking to a fan of a team that went 0-12 recently. Yeah, it's a problem. You Kansas people don't deserve football on any level.

Heh. I wouldn't say its a disconnect. Its a full on disagreement, but no biggie. I wish I wasn't so anal about it, but I can think of 5 games from last year. Where a little better clock management might've resulted in a little bit better redzone play. Or scoring a TD, or giving yourself an opportunity or two more to score a TD, instead of kicking a FG in a game your team will eventually lose by 4 points or that ends in a tie.

The Redskins have been a terrible team in some aspect of fundamental football since Snyder took over ownership.

Sure, but it's a season changer for the Chiefs. Could easily flip the division back into the Chiefs favor. Entirely possible the Pats sweep the posse of Pittsburgh, LA, Denver, and Oakland.

Wasn't this KC's division to lose before this game? Oakland is good but not great. This win just makes that clear, KC is the better team, but to me they were before tonight.

While I do see your point, Reid has historically been really bad with clock management. This isn't news.

When you're an NFL HC you shouldn't have any clock management gaffs. A slip up or two is understandable. Habitual issues? Not so much.
