IN 2014 Gruden was brought here to try to revive RG3. When that experiment failed they went to KC in 2015 which was a playoff year. Saying SM was the reason for the success of this team is far fetched IMO. Getting off topic here. I not going down this road again. Lets hope our 24m QB proves it this year.

Let me ask this......how many games into the 2015 season did Griffin play? Was there a QB's coach in place prior to the 2015 season? What exactly was this so-called revival/experiment about? Let's be honest, there was NOTHING in place for this except another failed attempt to sink or swim. Dude (Griff) was fucked up, but so was this dysfunctional organization. Gruden knew this when hired, gave lip service to any suggestions of a Griffin revival and waited until the right moment (another injury, second preseason game) to go with Kirk with Scot's backing.

Funny how Dean is propping up Cousins in this thread to support his displeasure with SM. Yet everywhere else Dean appears to badmouth Cousins. Oh well - again - I guess it is all about winning arguments & not about the actual success of the team.

Also - in terms of this offseason - part of the credit also goes to SM. They used his drafting services & he was part of the process until he got fired. The drafting process doesn't simply consist of draft day and the month or so leading up to the draft. It consists of the entire year leading up to the draft. You also can't rate this offseason as a success until a few years from now when we see how this plays out. You also can't 100% write of Docston & Cravens at this time - we will see.

Wrong. I don't like KC what he did with the contract b/c it doesn't support what he has done on the field.

Yeah. You tell them Dean. He should have accepted 25 million less in guaranteed money than the market value.

I don't like the fact he did not counter offer. Translation, I want to become a FA.

That is your poroblem. I have told you what his counter would be at a minimum. If he had, you would have cried about that too. The fact that you are ignorant to negotiations doesn't make others greedy. You think it is a game...it is their job.

No. I would respect him more b/c he gave us his final offer. I don't respect people who blow me off.

Us? Please. The negotiations are between the Redskins FO and Cousins and his agent. The fans and the media have no inherent rt to be part of the process. You apparently don't understand this concept. None of his still have a true idea of what has transpired over the past several months nor are any of us entitled to this info.

You are nuts. You just saw Stafford get the largest contract ever & somehow you expect Cousins to settle for much less. The counter offer argument is ridiculous - the Redskins basically bitch slapped him with their silly initial proposal which pretty much only guaranteed what he would get from the tag next season or any other offer from other teams. What don't you get?

You view this as a game & little more & just ignore the fact that this is how these guys earn their money. Still don't understand why you view someone trying to maximize their income as being so wrong. And again as fans we have no right to be a part of these negotiations nor to be privy to the details.

Who said anything about settling? Read my post. They made an initial insulting offer which didn't merit a response. What exactly don't you get? Again - you view this as a game & apparently you will never understand negotiations nor the concept of trying to maximize your income.
