If you're okay with 9 win seasons that's fine. I am not. Especially if my QB is getting overpaid.
Last year might of been a fluke, but he's still more successful than Cousins.
I did my research on Brady, maybe you should check on that. 24th in total yards allowed, 24th in passing yards allowed, 21st in rushing yards per attempt, 22nd in drives ending in a score. It wasn't good.\
Winning football games does factor into how much you SHOULD be paid. So SHOULD individual play. But if you are throwing for 5,000 yards every season but you can barely make the playoffs, I'd be looking for a change.
That's a horrible justification and defense of Kirk Cousins. That's like saying "well Dak Prescott is first among all active QBs in winning percentage." It's an unfair argument.
The NYG won a SB with 9 wins. I am not okay with nine wins unless there is improvement. We have improved with KC as the QB. Our defense has not. If our defense improves, brace yourself, we will improve.
Matt Ryan was less successful through two seasons than KC. In 9 years as a starter, maybe KC can prove he can blow the biggest lead in SB history by not scoring in the second half while being in FG range twice.
New England in 2001 gave up 17 PPG which was good for sixth in the NFL...the only defensive stat that matters. The purpose of the defense is to prevent the other team from scoring. 2003 the defense was #1 scoring. 2004 they were #2. 2014 they were way down to 8 allowing a monstrous 19.6 a game. And in 2016 they were number one again in defense coming up huge in the SB shutting down another historically great offense. *MIC DROP*
So Brees needs to go? Got it. You may want to look at how good the Saints are typically.
I agree it is a terrible argument but you keep making it when it suits your needs.
