Nfl ratings will continue to collapse if they put up with this shit.
Lol, no they won't.
This is crazy!

Then their parents should slap them upside the head.
We pay them for the play not their political views. So why should we care about their political views?
I'm a veteran, the oath of enlistment that I took said that I
would protect the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.
I respect my country, no matter what I think of who's running it.
Actually that is NOT what is says. The Constitution and the First Amendment is clear, everyone has a right to say anything and everything they want.
The flag actually stands for the things Michael Bennett is calling for in his "message" as to why he sat. To protest the flag because you want "equality" is like protesting outside 24 Hour Fitness because you're upset about the country's growing obesity problem.Freedom of speech does not imply free of consequences.
It is just dumb to do this for the reasons they claim. It does more harm than perceived good. The message is a negative one that doesn't positively impact productive dialog toward race relations. It is either ignored, or offends patriotic folks that might not otherwise be racist so why offend them over your political views and national commentary?
They shouldn't be forced to stand, but must recognize the price they are paying with some fans. And for what gain?
It's just stupid more than anything.

I guess you don't really understand what "Congress shall make no law" means.I don't know why he sat and I could care less. Clearly he has a desire to express himself in a peaceful protest, and as long as his employer has no problem with him doing on company time then it is constitutional.
And yes, that is exactly what the 1st amendment says.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." No law can be made to limit what you or I can say. No law can outlaw what you might think is hate speech. The 1st says everything is permitted, as long as it meets the rest of the 1st amendment, as long as it is peaceful.
Cmon man, we're Hawks fans. You think this is news 24 hours later?Get used to it Hawks fans.
Michael Bennett plans to sit during anthem throughout 2017 season
