I wish like heck the front office would release this disrespectful chump. Then he, Kaepernick, and lynch can suck each other off while protesting their unfair release.

I could give two shits whether they sit, stand, or do jumping jacks during the anthem. It's a non story, move on.

Need more evidence before making a call

But with that said. Being a military brat. My Viewpoint is a little skewed

I do agree with this to a large extent. It's still a terrible example for kids (look how many high schoolers started doing it when Kaeperdouche did his thing last year), but they are doing it to garner attention for their "cause". But that said, I'll be sitting quietly at the games this year whenever MB is announced in pre-game.

Then their parents should slap them upside the head.

We pay them for the play not their political views. So why should we care about their political views?

I don't care about their views. I care about their behavior while kids are watching. It's disrespectful, period.

But you bring up a great point though, maybe unintentionally: we pay them for their play. So to me that means while you're on the clock, keep the political stuff separate. I know those are the rules I have to follow (and that's not unique to my line of work). If you want to write a book called "What Makes White People Uncomfortable" or go to a game on your own dime and not stand for flag, then knock yourself out. But when you're on the job, keep it about football or whatever it is you're getting paid to do. You won't see any announcers with a "MAGA" or "BLM" hat on, and for good reason.

Would love to see the military part ways with the NFL as a result. The NFL comes off as supporting the disrespect.

OK. Does this apply to any organization that some would deem offensive? What about religious organizations?

Seems like a pretty tricky slippery slope to me.

Since the nfl has an antitrust waver they should avoid politics all together and that includes the players.

The league could make it mandatory for players to stand for the anthem. That would almost certainly create some blowback.

If someone pissed on the flag or burned the flag that's a different story, but not standing for the national anthem at a sporting isn't that big of a deal ... Evidently Lynch did that more than once when he was a Seahawk but it was non news, for whatever reason since Kaep did it it's magnified now...

My opinion, as long as you don't take it to the level of wearing pig socks and a castro shirt, what's the issue?
