observations from ravens game

now that i have looked at stuff again here is what i saw

allen played a solid game and if we get that from him on most game days we will be a better team . anthony lanier showed a lot of improvement and push . still raw but by mid season he could be a factor for us . ionman did some good things but he wasnt what he was hyped to be . phil taylor , to me took the early lead at NT . for the 16-20 plays we need one he should hold up well vs run . mcgee and mcclain were blah as was ziggy . francis made some good plays

the lbs marley and harvey clemons showed well to me , they are worth developing . brown should be a starter .
olb anderson played very well he set the edge well in the run game . losing TM will hurt but anderson will get battle tested

safety depth is a concern blackman doesnt tackle well and everette blew a pick . smithson seemed to do well

the o/line , roullier did some good things . painter sucks kujo sucks isaiah williams sucks . the huge thing here was missing assignments . CT tripping long on the sack was keystone like . TW wiffed on a block that killed a kelly run

wrs witch hazel needs to hold onto the ball (he fumbled but bad call saved him ) davis did some good things but he played like a 6th round rookie . grant made a nice catch

tes carrier was ok but he wiffed a block , sprinkle made a catch and did some blocking

qbs KC blah , colt mccoy horrid , his arm is terribble , suds isnt ready and his camp was was a crappy as his performance

coaching , the team looked ill prepared , o/line missed assignments and the team was flat

i want to ask you this question . so tomarrow when we get camp news and get tweets about such and such looks good etc etc are you going be like meh blah blah thats how i feel today like proyer kickass at camp and he did nothing in the game at what point do we take camp news and say its worth nothing at what point do we take camp news like a grain of salt because frankly dad that game is still making me sick and right now i dont even whant to hear anything good out of camp because it means nothing

if you are sick over a measely preseason game coach then you arent watching it right tomorrow i wont be online as i am taking a family trip . but i will keep giving the tweets out . its one game coach , its a preseason game and it was a big fat laid egg . dont get too high or too low .

after my re look of the game i also saw fish smithson do pretty well tackling and in run support . would like to see him get some 2nd team reps

I mean I thought we looked awful 1st preseason game but it also don't mean shit anyone remember the Spurrier days where we thought we were going to have a juggernaut offense because of how we looked in preseason well it didn't turn out too well we sucked big time so preseason doesn't mean much as to how the season will play out

It is possible that the message leading up to this game was.....NO INJURIES.

I'm not so concerned about the starters however, what's bothersome, is the energy level of the players fighting for jobs / playing time.

Next game tells a lot more about these guys!!

I haven't watched the game yet, but a loss in your first preseason game isn't call for alarm. Now if Skins players came out like coach is saying they came out. That might be call to raise an alarm.

So that is my point. This guys are professional journalists. I have always said take what they say with a grain of salt. They aren't football players, they are giving you their opinion. They aren't really sure what the goal of the practices is.
