The thing about series between these two teams is that it really doesn't matter what the stats or standings say, anything can and usually does happen.

Pomeranz looking for a 3rd straight solid outing. Two straight good ones since getting into the dugout argument with Farrell. Tanaka is pretty much at the opposite end of the spectrum. 3 of his last 4 starts have been disasters.

CC vs Porcello tomorrow and Ive never thought Id say the Yankees have the pitching edge there

His start against Oakland last week was damn good too, pitched into the 8th, struck out 13, no walks. It was just in between 3 other horrible starts.

Matchup is pretty good with CC and Porcello. Not much of an edge either way. Porcello has been consistent for about 9 starts now while CC has been excellent in his last 4.

I'll say Manny and Ortiz just due to the volume that they faced him. I'll also throw in Bill Mueller, who I know hit him well.

And two other stars who had a reputation for hitting him well were Palmeiro and Edgar Martinez.

So I guessed five players hoping that 4 are right.
