I'm fine with Pomeranz as a 5th starter, but my god he is not fun to watch. That was brutal, and yet effective. Question is, why did he completely abandon his cutter again? He threw it 12.8% last year in his best year as a starter, threw it just 2.9% in his first 8 starts of the year, went back to throwing it at 12.3% the last two games (his two best of the year), then abandoned it again last night, throwing it only twice.
If Judge goes to the HR Derby he should ask Tanaka to pitch to him, he'd hit 100 bombs.
The Yankees are 11-14 since May 8th when they were at their high water mark for the season (21-9).
They seem to be regressing to what people thought they would be back in March, but all things considered, they are in a very good place on an organizational level.
