As expected, Ken Zampese is the next offensive coordinator.

Somewhat more interesting is that we have added Jim Haslett as linebackers coach. Tons of experience in that hire.....

Good moves, I think.

Z should be ready. He's been around long enough.

Like the LB hire.

I think they had to do it this way. You can't risk Dalton regressing in a new system or with a new guy in charge. With Zampese, the approach won't change. There's always a risk that he won't be a great play caller, but Jackson certainly had his head-scratchers over the last year as well.

I like the Haslett hire too.... If we add Coyle back as DB coach we'll probably have our most experienced staff.

I also think, hopefully, Haslett can help Guenther a bit as well. Just from an experience standpoint.

They are just preparing for when they lose Guenther next year to another HC job and they need a replacement DC who has been in this system for at least a year and has experience.

Gruden - Washington
Zimmer - Minnesota
Jackson - Oakland, Cleveland
Guenther - Dallas? Atlanta? Tennessee?

Leslie Frasier went on to be the HC of Minnesota for a while too.

I'm not sold on Guenther.

Guenther is gone next year if we don't make him HC here. After how good this defense was this year, no chance he stays. Marv is getting quite the coaching tree from under him.
