Many to choose from as a Packers fan but the 2014 NFC Championship game stands our for me. 2:09 from going to the Super Bowl which, IMO, they would have won but the effin backup TE can't field an on-sides kick.

1999 AFC Championship Game. We had a great season and then lost to the Titans for the third freakin' time of the season...our only three losses of the season! Heart-breaking.

Dude, you got a few hours?

My thoughts exactly. 4 Superbowl losses. 5 NFC Title Game losses. If I had to pick one, it would be 98' just because of how dominant that offense was. I think my childhood died at 15.

I wasn't born for the Superbowls, so I'm sure many would disagree with me.

The Rahim Moore game. I believe Denver would have been the Super Bowl champs if they didn't lose to the Ravens.

But even more painful was when Denver was 8-4 and San Diego was 4-8 after 12 games and the Chargers wound up winning the division.

For the Falcons, it's obviously last season's Super Bowl. Hard to imagine anything topping for the Falcons for the rest of eternity.

I think your team has to make the playoffs for a devastating loss to happen

I'd put it above the SB against the Packers. Packers deserved that one.

It’s a tossup for me... that or this. Both were a kick in the nuts.

You really thought Kordell Stewart would have gotten it done against the Rams? I'd have to say your 04' destruction at the hands of Spygate would have been harder to take because that team was better.

If we were including SB's obviously the 07 loss to Giants with the Tyre helmet catch, ruining the 19-0 and having to listen to Shula, Mercury Morris and Dirt endlessly

The 06 AFCG vs Indy was the worst. Pats were up 21-3 and on the move, but an offensive penalty called a big first down back and then it went down hill from there. Bug-eyed Caldwell dropped three easy passes, one in EZ and one inside the 10 yard line, with no defender to stop him. Capital fucking OUCH

All of em but one have been Wild Card rounders in my lifetime.

So I guess that one. A 41-10 blowout at RFK, in the NFC championship, 26 years ago.

Rodney Peete dropping about 60 on us also stung.

Scott Mitchell coulda been paid by the Iggles that day. He kept hitting open defenders. Like the useless fuck he was.

In all rights you guy's should a won that game... Packers played good all day until the last 4 minutes... That's football sometimes though, it can be glorious and brutal at the same time... As we found out 2 weeks later, up 10 with 5 minutes left in the big dance, then botched the goal-line play...

For me it might have been the first playoff game I ever saw. Late 70's Vermeil was the coach, they were lucky enough to make the playoffs on a fluke play by Herm Edwards against the Giants. They got a road wild card game against the Falcons who were also a 9-7 team that just got in. The Eagles kicker was injured near the end of the season so they got some guy named Mike Michel to kick. Missed an extra point, then missed a field goal at the end. Eagles lose 14-13. (they didn't have 2 point conversions that year). That was the first of what would become many letdowns.........

i remember that game; didnt the titans have a punt return for a TD right before halftime? i was shocked, thought for sure the jags would win convincingly the 3rd time around

superbowl losses to green bay and dallas notwithstanding, its gotta be the '94-'95 championship game loss to san diego; pittsburgh should have kicked their asses that day, and pretty much dominated the game save for 2 passes from stan humphries to alfred pupunu and tony martin. that loss still chaps my ass. no, pittsburgh probably wouldn't have beaten the 49ers, as they were a juggernaut on a mission that season, BUT it would've been a far better game than the snoozefest that ensued, the chargers were done from the opening kickoff.
