Never know, he played well enough a few games to warrant a long-term deal, but he also played bad enough to make him questionable. I wouldn't want my team to see him as the franchise QB just yet.

I wouldn't either but I think they are between a rock and a hard place as they say !
If they don't pay him, someone will and they'll have to take a rookie or one of the journeyman vets out there, and quite frankly, there's none worth taking and a rook would set them back 2-3 yrs and the D could be gone by then...

What I am saying is if they keep that D intact, the best pass rushers in the game with Miller and Ware and imo the best secondary in the game with Harris Jr,Ward and Talib, they dont have to sign a QB to big money. Like TD said, just get a game manager that doesnt turn over alot in the game and they will dominate. Hell the D scored more points than the offense did the first half of the season and they still won

I heard Jerry might take him to groom behind Romo...He's 2nd round projection but where is anyone's guess...
The Broncos would probably have to trade up to get him in the 2nd or burn a 1st on him, not likely either way...
And he had a rough yr anyway, so no one is getting his coffee for him or nothing...

Around $12M per sounds fair, no? What has he done to deserve more? A lot of these QBs that get paid for a few good games end up being disaster signings - Flynn, Foles, Cassell, etc

Manning was the lowest ranked QB ever in a SB and they won because of that D. Just get a guy who doesn't turn it over more than twice than you score and they win. He had 1 td at home during the reg season and that D kept winning the games. Any QB will do , and don't be held up for $$$$$$$$

I was talking about Denver's D. Carolina scored at will vs Seattle's D and AZ, not much vs Denver. Peyton did score 2 points with that 2 point conv, Denver D scored the first TD, Picked up Cam on their 10 yard line, and then caused the fumble on Carolina's own 10 . When your QB only foes 1-16 I believe on 3rd downs, has less than 150 yards, has 2 T/O and no Td's and you win WOW
