I would love a reporter to just once ask LeBron why guys that come from other organizations that were pretty solid sometimes totally flop playing with LeBron and see what he would say.

It's always a win-now circumstance with Lebron, and these new players don't have time to assimilate. Plus, if Lebron doesn't trust you, you aren't getting the ball. As usually the lead passer AND scorer on his team, you get the Westbrook factor as well; he dominates the ball so much that the rest of the team stands around and watches unless they've played with him for a while.

I totally agree with what you are saying.

Like Westbrook there really isnt a "system" with LeBron and clear-cut responsibilities for these guys. They get inconsistent playing time, inconsistent shot opportunities, there are basically never set plays that are run. Guys rarely ever get their "own plays" that they would defintely get elsewhere- guys like Clarkson and Hood.

In some ways its incredibly easy to play with LeBron since he draws so much attention, but in some ways its incredibly hard because its just a total free-for-all.

Some of that is coaching as well- but whenever any coach has tried to put in a rigid offensive system LeBron wants no part of it and it becomes shooters, LeBron at the top creating and maybe a TT or a Nance throwing a pick and rolling.

Deng's is definitely up there, but is made even worse by the decision between Deng and the Lakers to just not play him. He still has value, but is seen as basically being out of the league as the Lakers move forward with the kids.

Iirc deng fairies pretty well as a stretch 4 on his old team but lal didn’t want to use him like that.

Wiggins, Deing, and Teague. Luckily Crawford opted out and saved the wolves from 4 of the worst contracts.

They had guys like Randle (and now Kuzma) that needed minutes ahead of him. He was brought in to be a mentor, and I'm sure he still was doing some of that from the bench and in practices, but what a drastic overpay...

Not true. The Lakers tried to use him. He even started for awhile. He was awful. They also tried bringing him off the bench. He wasn't any better.

I've always been a fan of Luol Deng and I was hopeful that he would do well for the Lakers.

I can't even be upset with him because he truly did try. Unfortunately, he just has nothing left.

These are, in my opinion- the worst contracts in basketball---- some because the player is useless (Deng, Mozgov), some because they are wildly overpayed for being a mediocre player (Tyler Johnson) or some for the sheer huge number of their deal- like 4 years 142 for blake griffen

1. Blake Griffen- 4 years 142M
2. Luol Deng- 2 years 39M
3. Chandker Parsons- 2 years 50M
4. Joakim Noah- 2 years 39M
5. Hassan Whiteside- 2 years 52M
6. Gorgeiu Dieng- 3 years 49M
7. Danilo Gallianari- 3 years 65M
8. Mike Conley- 3 years 97M
9. Tyler Johnson- 2 years 38M
10. Serge Ibaka- 2 years 45M
11. Evan Turner- 2 years 37M
12. Ryan Anderson- 2 years 41M
13. Paul Milsap- 2 years 60M
14. Tim Hardaway Jr.- 3 years 57M
15. Timo Mozgov- 2 years 33M
16. Ian MAhimi- 2 years 32M
17. Carmelo Anthony- 1 year 28M
18. Nik Batum- 3 years 77M
19. Tony Snell- 3 years 33M
20. Omer Asik- 2 years 23M
21. Meyers Leonard- 2 years 22M
22. Bismack Biyombo- 2 years 34M
23. Kent Bazemore- 2 years 37M
24. Tristan Thompson- 2 years 36M
25. Andre Iguadala- 2 years 33M

Honorable Mentions and sheer HUGE contracts:

John Wall 4 years 142M
Jrue Holiday 4 years 105M
Gordon Hayward 3 years 97M
Otto Porter Jr. 3 years 82M
Steven Adams 3 years 76M
Jeff Teague 2 years 38M
Alan Crabbe 2 years 39M
George Hill 2 years 37M

Whiteside at 5 lol?
Just think where he’d be ranked if he couldn’t league the league in blocks or rebounds.

Iggy's contract is one of the worst? GTFO.

He means a lot more to that team than just pure numbers. His role isn't to score. It's everything else.

Defense, passing, rebounding and chemistry in the starting lineup.

I'd say Noah's is the worst.

Fairly simple. Lues entire offense is based solely on LeBron

Whiteside isn't even top 15. He can play, this list smacks of Wiggy unable to be unbiased.

This Rockets series proves he's worth every penny. Wiggy just has a weird and stupid hatred of certain players.

I don't agree that Griffin is the worst contract in basketball. While it is the biggest contract, Griffin provides value at least when he is on the court.

I also think the Gallinari contract is too high on your list. As is Mike Conley.

There is a difference between injured players don't meeting their expectations and horrible players getting paid ridiculous amounts of money.

Tristan Thompson is way too low. And Alan Crabbe definitely deserves higher than honorable mention. And where the heck is JR Smith

This.

One would think.

Lets now hold injuries against players.

@WiggyRuss
You better put Drummond on your list.
All that cash.
Healthy.
No playoffs again in the East.
