Add the Suns, take off the Lakers

The Lakers made sales pitches, but they did not lose any assets. Players just politely declined.
It was understandable considering how far away they still are from contending.

Had the Lakers foolishly lost any of their future assets in attempts to sign guys it would be a diffrent story, but they kept all the future value chips.

The Lakers then did not over-react in a panic to throw silly Tristan Thompson cash around on 2nd tier guys.
I would not necessarily call that being a loser free agency period.

LMAO @ you calling Marcus Morris, Danny Granger and Reggie Bullock future assets. Stopped reading after that BS.

I'm half expecting a "We got Chandler so we're winners" excuse

Shaqdaddy nails it. :pound:

Why? Brandon Knight for 5 years and 70 mil is a good value considering the salary cap rise and his age/potential. I mean Reggie Jackson got 5 years 80 mil for christ's sake!

Tyson Chandler gives us a much needed veteran presence in the locker room and allows us to have a legit 7 footer on the floor at all times with him and Alex Len. He'll probably start the first two years then once Len emerges (still only 21) he will take over and Chandler will move to a bench role.

We've lacked a team leader for a while now, so this helps. I'd say both signings weren't bad looking at some of the other ludicrous contracts given out this summer.

Am I wrong? They didn't have any vets last year. I'm not in love with the signing long term with him, but he makes us better now. Not sure how much better, but with him and a healthy Knight who knows.

If you consider getting Tyson Chandler as a "win," then I really don't know what to say. Had your salary dump to try and pair him with Aldridge worked, then the Suns would have definitely been a winner. But it didn't, so they're not.

He's a double-double machine and plays solid defense. Not ecstatic about him, but it's not like he's a scrub. Better than Hibbert and has been for a while, btw.

What I'm happy about is re-signing Brandon Knight. Having him and Bledsoe locked up long term is good whether we keep them or not. It's all about stacking your assets in the NBA.

And what I find hilarious is how everyone is overreacting to them trading away Marcus Morris A BACKUP SF and two guys that likely wouldn't see a single minute on our roster next year. With Tucker and Warren at SF already we had a log jam and got rid of it while clearing up cap space. If you don't think that deal is good regardless of landing Aldridge or not then you are really slow in the head.

Also, when the fuck did I say we were "winners" in this thread? Putting words in people's mouths is what Lakers fans love to do so I'm not surprised but damn.

What're you trying to convey?

career numbers...

tried googling it up, but the copy didn't come out as well as I would've liked. but in short he's definitely missed some games and doesn't score all that well ESPECIALLY towards the back end of his career...

Oh, I'm well aware of that. His job isn't to score though. Never has been never will be. Suns need rebounding, shot blocking and veteran leadership desperately. They have ever since Nash and Grant Hill left.

Suns training staff is known for extending and even reviving careers so I'm not too worried about that.

Can't believe you scooped up Lou for that cheap btw. Bass was a good pickup as well. You could probably be a playoff team in the Eastern Conference honestly with the roster you have now…. but the West is just too damn good.

I remember Shaq had a lot of great things to say about what the Suns training staff was able to do for him. He loved your training staff.

I nominate Dan Gilbert as a loser.
Does he have any pride left?
I'd love to be a little birdie inside his house.

Shouldn't we wait, more than 4 days, to start calling teams losers and winners?
