I loved it when Cassell came in and played better than Brady and Pats fans resented the hell out of it.

They saw him as a threat to Brady. What's interesting is that Randy Moss was significantly more productive with Cassell than he was with Brady.

With a name like Garapollo, he prolly has a career in comedic writing ahead of him, if his shoe-shining career doesn't pan out.

Do tell. Since 2008 Randy had the least production of the three years he played in NE. This should be good. :martini:

When Tennessee was drafting in 2014 i wanted either Mettenberger or Garoppolo. I think in the four games he plays the Pats will go 2-2 with losses against Pittsburgh and Buffalo but overall i think he will play very well.

I fear that Garoppolo might not be up for the first game of the season with millions of viewers yet. The pressure is pretty crushing. But yeah, I'd rather have a young, athletic back-up QB than a 40 year old game manager.

Look it's Hammer's long lost brother. OBTW Blitz, still waiting for those significantly better Moss/Cassell stats.

Game manager? he has put up 3 4800 plus yard seasons. Without looking it up I think that only Drew Brees has accomplished that, and those years in a dome. Dont think he put up huge no#s in SD. He isnt a stat whore and plays to the weakness of the team. Like with Indy, when they will run the rock 50 times

Perhaps the Patriots hopes for Jimmy were overinflated?

Jimmy Garoppolo has a QBR of over 106.

Have Patriots fans started the death threats yet?

Here's a thought: what if goodell's an all-knowing Pat's fan after all?
He got paid by Kraft! He had no choice! They wanted the bum Brady out because he sucks and he's out! That simple.

Jimmy G!! Came thru as expected. Good times. Roger needs to fabricate something else to keep the train from rolling. Nearly 20 years of dominance

Jimmy G looked real good, I was not expecting that especially w/o Gronk. Just goes to show you that Bronk and Gronk are expendable. @HammerDown called it
