Pens won their season opener beating the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on the road. Scott Harrington had a goal, Chris Connor had 2 goals (including the game winner), & Harry Zolnierczyk scored another 2 goals. Brian Gibbons also added a couple of assists & Jeff Daslauriers made 22 out of 24 saves. Really like what the Pens do on the farm, wish they would utilize that talent more by giving it an opportunity to shine in the NHL. But until then, the Doobster will enjoy that talent for the WBS team.

Brian Gibbons scored a goal of a nice feed from Jayson Megna & made a nice drop pass to Chris Connor for the eventual game winning goal.

Dominic Uher showed some real hustle, puck control, & poise along the boards & behind the net when he fed Zach Sill for the 3rd goal.

The Doobster is a big fan of Gibbons, Uher, & Megna.

WBS Pens win again tonight going 4-0 with a 6-3 win against the Adirondack Phantoms.

Jayson Megna had 2 goals, Brian Gibbons had 1 goal & 2 assists, & Dominic Uher had a goal & an assist.

Baby Pens go 5-0 with a 3-2 win over the Worcester Sharks. Tom Kuhnhackl came up big with 2 goals.

Yeah, it's a pretty part of the state. Wish it wasn't so far away, but well worth the trip to see the Baby Pens in action. it's a different type of hockey watching experience. Great to see them being so competitive as of late.

WBS Pens stay undefeated, going 6-0 with a 4-3 OT win @ Manchester Monarchs. Brian Gibbons continued his hot streak scoring 2 goals & dishing 2 assists (wouldn't mind seeing a Brian Gibbons call up). WBS Pens now have the best record in the AHL!

Yeah can't complain. The only issue with Gibbons I truly see him being no different than Chris Conner for his carreer. I would still like to see Megna get called up.

As for the goalies, wonder why Hartzell hasn't played? Neither goalie playing right now has a future or an NHL contract with the Penguins. If Zatkoff or Fleury gets hurt will they sign Deslauriers to an NHL deal?

Yeah, would really like to see Megna, Uher, & Kuhnhackl get called up, they have lots of talent. Wouldn't mind seeing Deslauriers get a shot if Zatkoff doesn't work out, he's been very good this year.

Would also like to see Dominic Uher get a shot if need be. I really like his talent, bet you he could bring some good things to the team. Might be a defensive liability tho.

Forgot to mention, WBS Pens lost their 1st game of the season, losing to the Norfolk Admirals 2-1. Brian Gibbons did score a goal tho, leads the team with 5 goals, 9 assists, & 14 points in 8 games. Really would like to see them give him a shot in the NHL, he's been by far the best player on the WBS Pens the past 2 seasons.

WBS Pens go 8-1 with a 4-2 win over the Hersey Bears. Goals were scored by Chris Connor, Harry Zolnierczyk, Tom Kuhnhackl, & Andrew Ebbet. WBS Pens got the highest point percentage in the AHL with 0.850.

On a side note Eric Hartzell wasn't good in his pro debut in Wheeling.

WBS Pens coming off back to back wins against the Toronto Maple Leafs & New York Rangers, 2 teams which have given the NHL Pens a lot of trouble as of late.
