That was a good powerplay for the Pens. No goal, but lots of possession and movement and a couple good chances. Anderson robbed Maatta with the pad. That was some save, against his momentum, stick low. That's as tough as it gets for a goalie.

Also, we need some top six wingers back. On that last shift, Crosby controlled the puck for almost a minute and nobody moved to get open and give him a passing option. They just stood there.

Much better effort than recently.

Despres puck possession is underrated, him and Letang are the best at keeping the puck in the offensive zone. A guy like Martin is a noodle on the point under pressure.

Geno and Sid were back up to their standards, like Downie with Crosby with the injuries.

MAF played well.

Klinkhammer played very well, drew two penalties and had 5 hits which led the team, they desperately need some size in the bottom six. Sill and Adams play over their size, but that only goes so far.

Sill's hit looked clean, live it looked bad, but on the replay it looked fine. I missed the apparent elbow by Ryan on Downie, that was being discussed at length by Steigy and Errey.

Yeah, Sid played very well today. Whole team's effort level was there all night.

Comeau has been our 2nd best player to Geno as of late IMO, really like the Comeau pickup.
