Why all the SEC hype?

A team that went 0-8 in the conference last year and a team that's from the big 12 are playing for the sec championship game. I'm more of a NFL guy but it seems to me like the SEC is getting a lot of unwarranted hype.

Seriously, the Auburn/Missouri game has all the ingred-a-ments for an instant classic. The ACCCG will be a laugher by the third Q, the Ohio State/MSU game could turn out to be another blowout if Mich State gets down early, and nobody actually cares about any of the other championship games.

Edit: Plus, everyone wants to see if either of these teams can somehow get into the BCSCG.

Alabama has 3 of those, they were irrelevant before that. Florida had 2 of them under urban meyer, Florida is irrelevant. Cam Newton got one of those at auburn. Auburn was irrelevant before last week. LSU got one, they're irrelevant. So a couple teams were really good for a couple years at a time. As a whole they seem overrated IMO.

Well, they are the only conference with 4 loss teams in the top 25.

Exactly my point. If teams from the sec are winning every year that's fine, you shouldn't overrate the whole conference because there are a couple good teams. There are really only one..maybe two teams in the sec this year that are head and shoulders better than most of the country.
