Brees could take the top spot with 2 more strong seasons if he can keep up the level of play. Brady will pass Marino but will he retire before he can catch Favre? Palmer could make top 10 but my guess is he will retire before it happens. Eli, Ben and Rivers should end up around the top 5 by the end of their careers?

1 Peyton Manning 71,940
2 Brett Favre 71,838

You forgot to mention Paxton GOAT Lynch. He'll finish up with 100,000 yards and all the championships!

Quarterback Win/Loss Records | The Football Database Shows the total games started by each QB. So a guy like Brees who has played 91 games less than Favre and less than 10 k away, that's amazing

Mattie Ice trending up 34k he'll likely break into top 15 if he keeps playing the way he has so far this year.

It's sad to see Montana and Unitas being passed by Jabroni's. It's only going to get even more sad.

Could not help by notice that one esteemed poster here has “Very Strong” opinions of 4 of the top 5 QBs on this list.

I have tried to summarize his thoughts as best I can recall from reading at the Hoop over the years..

1 Peyton Manning 71,940 – GOAT, walks on water, invented forward pass.. he was miraculously conceived by football Gods
2 Brett Favre 71,838 – Most overrated QB in NFL history, threw interception at his HOF induction ceremony
3DREW BREES 62,172 – Brett Favre v 2.0, will not be able to see over podium at his HOF induction ceremony
5TOM BRADY 58,028 – System QB, cheater, deflater… Brady apologists can be assured to comment on any thread bashing Brady or praising the GOAT (Manning)
Note the above comments do not reflect my own. I am only rehashing what I have read over the years at the Hoop.

I say Favre has to come back when the next QB goes down for at least one game to get back to #1 I did not know Manning only has 102 yards on him

Total Yardage is such a slanted stat... totally favors the FNGs.

If Stafford stays healthy he'll crack the top 5 easily... and that's just sad.

Dome QB's tend to put up a lot of yards, controlled environment.

Id be surprised if he doesn't get right behind Brees. If he stays healthy.

Also think he'll be the highest paid football player ever before he's done.

Dude was born at the right time. And drafted by the right team that never has a defense.

He was set last year to blow the record away but his injury that took him out of 7 games really hurt that opportunity.

I'm not sure, what the stat, QB Career Passing Yardage, means to a QB's greatness.

an example Drew Brees

In the last eight out of nine seasons, Brees has had 600 or more ( per season) passing attempts
In six out of those eight seasons, he has had 650 or more (per season) passing attempts

With those pass heavy numbers, he ought to have a lot of yards passing

by comparison.....Aaron Rodgers has had ZERO 600 pass attempt seasons
Tony Romo has had ONE season with 600 pass attempts

The New Orleans Saints in those nine season, had an average ranking of 20th in rushing yardage

and in those nine seasons, the Saints have had only four winning seasons

I've never liked Sean Payton's offense or Drew Brees as QB. BORING OFFENSE

And on your list.........I believe only 8 of those QB's teams actually won Super Bowls, 12 didn't

Who said anything about "greatness"? What does Super Bowl wins have to do with the topic? You cant simply voice your opinion on where the currently active QBs might sit on the list when they retire?
