Evidently not. 10/13 for 150 yards and a TD in the second half. Seems pretty good to me

5 sacks for a loss of 45 yards and 1-8 on 3rd downs. If he played better in the second half the Falcons would have won.

You're in complete denial. If he played great in the 2nd half the Falcons would be SB Champs
So NE sacking him 5 times , forcing a turnover and Brad playing the best quarter of his career are irrelevant ? Good to know

Yes because the sacks are on him not the protection. And there's no way they were 1-8 on 3rd down in the second half. They only had the ball 4 or 5 times and we're in NE territory 3 of them . You'll want to recheck that

Brady got sacked more than once and tossed a Pick 6 to boot.

Still lit the Falcons up when it mattered most.

Brady was also sacked 5 times but lost only 22 yds and converted 50% on 3rd downs (7 of 14). Moved the chains when needed too.

Sorry 1-8 the whole game so convert 1 or 2 more third downs in the second half and you win. Since Ryan couldn't do that then his second half numbers become hollow. Blame the o-line all you want but pocket awareness has to come into play on Ryan's part.

Sure I'm not saying Atpanta played phenomenal . They played ok. Ryan however was not the reason they lost. There are plenty of reasons but his play is not one of them

Blame goes all around but Ryan needed to move the chains when needed in the second half to keep the Pats offense off the field. Converting just 1 more third down or taking away one less sack by throwing it way could have made a huge difference.

You'll not see me doubting Thomas.

I was merely pointing out he overcame all that shit and "quietly" had over 400 yards.....

I'm very much a statistics are for losers kind of guy but,

Ryan - 17/23 (74%) 284 2TDs 0 Int

Brady - 43/62 (69%) 466 2 TDs 1 Int

And it looks like both teams had 104 yards rushing, Falcons with 2 guys (lost one during game), Patriots by committee.

Seems clear to me. Ryan's statistics were average.

Brady's were, well, Brady's.

Brady's were, well, Brady's.

My statement might have been misleading. I was agreeing that Brady moved the ball when needed to against some long odds. Ryan's numbers which are good but kind of takes a back seat cause of the inability to convert on a third down when needed in the late stages of the game.

I already stated I'm giving NE credit for taking advantage of Atlanta's mistakes and fir my money Ryan had his share of them. Not every sack is the fault of his blocking some sacks are all on the QB. Better pre-snap reads very well could have won the ge for Atlanta.
Now who's responsible for pre-snap reads I wonder?

Ok just for my personal edification I'll play along . Maybe I'm missing something so I'll open this up to you and whoever else cares to answer. Give me a few examples of where Ryan choked. Should be easy enough for all of you. I'll wait.

Why even answer these guys? They are so Brady mind fucked that it bothers them to know that he pulled the huge comeback and they needed to make both 2 pt conversions and they did. Now he has 5 SB wins , the 2 biggest SB comebacks in history, cemented as GOAT and it pisses them off to no end. In the 3rd Q they were salivating and couldn't wait to trash Brady if they lost, which it appeared that way. but he isn't a QB that gets rattled or is a headcase and pouts. He keeps playing till the end

Meanwhile Ryan tightened up like a 16 year old virgin about to get her cherry popped.

His no#s weren't bad , but the sack was huge. The TOP was huge for NE and wore out the D in the second half. Brady had what 450 yards or something like that. They were gassed and wore out/ Guy was the MVP for a reason and an awesome season, and they limited his play

No argument to any of that, but for Milla to think Ryan played great the full game is asinne. Not trying to sound like a broken record, but NE took advantage of every Atlanta mistake, and even though Milla refuses to see it Ryan made his share of them too.

No doubt they needed every break, fumble , sack, lucky bounce and catch by Julian for Pats to have had any chance. If Brady started going 3 and out late in the 3rd and 4th and giving the ball back to Ryan, goodnight Irene and they lose as bad as GB did to ATl. Its good to be on the receiving end of lucky breaks after the Tyre catch and then Seattle's Kearse bobble catch that almost cost them that SB. 2 unlucky SB losses to NY and 2 lucky SB wins to Seattle and ATL
