Yeah, I have one of those now...............hitting around 3000. On a good note, I just got back from tLung Doc...........overall my lungs are 100% clear (that's a miracle) and operating at 90% capacity..............

After the surgery, they'll make you do it a few times a day, and it will hurt like a motherfucker.


My biggest dummy part, was that I couldn't handle they heavy painkillers... they make me sick af, and unable to move, so the dumbfucks just had me on Tylenol 3. Well, about a week out, I had to go back to the ER for fluid in my lungs, and the doctor there used to be a pharmacist...I told him I didn't want the heavy stuff cuz it fucks me up, and he says, "oh, we'll just give you some fucking Benedryl first and you'll be fine with the heavy drugs." Boom, that day was the best I felt the whole damn deal. He gave me an IV of the heavy shit, and I was chill af. The bad reaction to the heavy shit, is just an allergic reaction. So take some fucking benedryl and let them give you the heavy shit, cuz Tylenol 3 sucks a fat dick, (tho the codeine may have helped stave off colds en sech, which is the LAST thing you'll want to happen. Sneezing, coughing, hiccups and the likes are fucking death sentences.)

BD sorry to hear you had such a hard time but a customer of mine just had it done a few months ago and he was back on his feet and doing great pretty quickly and he is in his 70s.

It's 8 weeks before you can do much of anything. That is regardless of age.


Also, it is more painful for someone younger than it is for someone older because older folks' nerve-endings are dead en shit.

If your doctor ever saw the Bears message board and all the intense bickering that goes on there, he probably would've suggested skipping that for 8 weeks too.

After the Super Bowl, there's a pretty good chunk of time before the NFL rookie draft on April 26.
Things kind of slow down on the Hoop too.
Earlier in the season there was a thread that went off on a tangent about Seinfeld characters and we joked about having a draft.
Maybe as part of your recovery, we can have a "sitcom" draft?

With any sitcom character being eligible.​

Maybe we can start it 2 weeks after your surgery date? February 19. Or is that too soon?

Best of luck with the surgery. My Dad had bypass surgery a long time back and did well. Now the surgery is more common and patent friendly. If you want to have some fun, take 2 or 3 Viagra the morning of the surgery. Decorate it like a Christmas tree before pre-op.

Plus, when we give the overview of our draft that is gonna look pretty funny.

1. Al Bundy-Had to take him at #1 as I see him as the highest point scorer this year. He did have 4 TD's in 1 game though.
2. Edith Bunker-Knew I would miss on Archie but knew I could grab her in the 2nd.
3. Charlie Harper-Did not expect him in this spot!
4. Alan Harper-Figured I'd get all of the 2 1/2 Men points and there are a lot to be had.
