Not yet. Gotta wait for the end of the year when Josh McD frees up. Thats already predetermined unless we start winning some games we should not. Stay on the 7-9 pace and its a dne deal. Unless we somehow make the playoffs Caldwell is gone.

Going for it on 4th down - good.
Not challenging the completion/fumble/turnover - bad
Onside kick? Really, really bad.

Even if the Lions fell into the playoffs, I think Caldwell is moving out of this coaching position. He's been around too long for the type of poor decisions he's making.

Both were being held and grabbed and no flags. Lions look at a guy the wrong way and get a flag. The fix was in.

This looks like the Browns offense where they get a zillion yards and not much scoring. JBC has some nice ideas but the offense is still missing alot in the planning area.

The defense is still in the vanilla zone. They have no chance to be successful in that scheme. Granted this is 3 of 4 losses where the defense gave up 20 or less. I just dont think any amount of talent will be able to do well in a predictable scheme. This conservative vanilla crap smells like Caldwell is butting in.

Staff has to want the hell out of this franchise.

Why? He does not even have to win and he gets 20 mill a year.

He didn't get to this level by settling for losing. He has franchise quarterback characteristics. Any team needing a quarterback will pay him what he's worth, and winning is the bonus that money can't measure.

The no challenge on the catch/fumble was horrible. The on-side kick was even worse because he had plenty of time to make the right decision. I would have punted in the first quarter but I won't kill him over that one.

He is not the reason when we win and certainly made two calls today that helped us lose.

The short passing game with 10 minutes left was pitiful. Classic conservative Caldwell. Stafford passing down the field to his 5 weapons is a winning strategy. Their pass rush wasn't much so why not let him take shots 10+ yards down the field.

I can't believe that asshole didn't challenge that catch/fumble.

He can get paid by a winner.

Won't be more than two or three QBs getting more per year, if any, next time he inks a deal.

I'm not going to hold it against him when he leaves.

Co-worker thinks Brady will win the SB, retire, ride off into the sunset leaving a void at QB. Meanwhile Stafford's contract is up with lions and he's done with that this sorry ass franchise. NE makes him an offer leaving the Lions for good.

Staff is signed thru next year.

I'm glad that Dallas looks to be set at QB.

Patricia over McDaniels. McDaniels only conflicts with Jim Bob, who is doing a great job. Patricia is a defensive coach.

What scares me is the growing comparisons to Dan Marino. A Good QB's whose career was wasted on a bad team. I bet Stafford doesn't want that to be his legacy.

The Lions need defensive talent that can give Stafford better starting field position at a minimum. Let's start with a linebacker that can cover a tight end.

Brady will win 2 SBs in a row before retiring so we are not out of the woods. Not sure the Hoodie will want the sidewinder though.

That is a possibility too.

JBC has done OK but I would not say great. 17 or less points in half the games is not great. I would not want to lose him though.

I think Caldwell is probably tieing both coordinators hands.

Maybe not before this year, but Stafford has shown a real knack for completing passes of 2-3 yards that the receivers take another 3-10 yards. That is basically the description of Brady's career.
