Did you happen to notice that his longest make is only 42 yards while all the others in that list are 45 yards or longer? He is not that good. There are many guys that can do what he does. He's not terrible, he's average. He's limited in what he can do and Beamer has used him wisely for the most part in picking his spots. Whatever, I'm not going to argue over a kicker that's even lucky to be enrolled right now.

No need to belabor the point, but either he's pretty good, or Beamer is an absolute genius in knowing whether to use him. Either way, only eight were better last year. I think you're being a bit hard on him.

That said, whatever happened yesterday can't be allowed to happen again, and it's too late to get Brooks Abbott back, right?

I thought a year or so ago Beamer would always bring in the kickoff "specialist" for FG attempts greater than 40-45 yds even though Journell was the starter. And Journell never does kickoffs.

– Gayle separated his left shoulder after rolling over Carden on a second quarter sack.

“They had to reset it on the sideline,” he said. “I’ve never done that before. I thought I was dying.”

He had it wrapped and returned in the second half, making a big play near the end when he sacked Carden in the end zone for a safety.

I'm really hoping he's OK.

If anyone sees any updated news on this, please post.

If it truly popped out, Gayle probably tore his labrum. The repair surgery is a itch and takes time to come back from but he can finish out the season with a brace and painkillers if it isn't too bad. It may go in and out some more though, much like Worilds' shoulder did.

It can dislocate without tearing the labrum but usually doesn't.
