the end of the game was the perfect time to Have Trey Lance, Jimmy is the Better QB but Trey Lance can scramble and make plays with his feet. It would have really helped them out.

Still will say Jimmy G is a better "QB" Than Trey Lance though.

That was one ugly game and Russ found another way to beat the Niners.

and another weird score game, he would get a ton of those here.

Pete just seems defeated in the pressers these past two games. He doesn't look at all like he is happy to even be answering questions. Sure i get it you lost but he never looked like this or sounded so ... like he wants to say "I give up"

Even carroll had to know this year was going to be a shitshow and geno wasn't going to lead us to more than a handful of wins.

what could have been. I am waiting for the all 22 to come out so i can check this again but we had Goodwin wide open at the sticks on that 4th and 18 right in front of Geno. He was crossing left to right and the cover guy turned inside and Geno should have hit him right there. He did not fall off because of the throw as this is like 0.25 seconds or less after Geno released it lol. There was a solid 5 yards of space before he turned up field ( the WR ) oopsy3.PNG

As you can see in the second picture he was wide open and in front of Geno. :L

This ball goes over Lockett's head who is the player at the 10 into a crowed at the 4 yardline. Geno is blind when running. His awareness is just crap.

Geno will never will a team to victory, we could be in every game to the last drive and go 0-17 with geno.

Probably should have handed it off to Penny a few more times, eh? He only averaged 4.7 ypc before we forgot we could run the ball down their throat all game.

To be honest, he was actually averaging 11.7 ypc when they decided to start throwing the ball (47 of the next 65 plays were either a pass, sack or a Geno run).

Let's not forget that Pete supposedly told the sideline reporter we needed to get Penny more involved in the second half - only to involve Penny even less than he was in the first half.

Seahawks are bad.....that's obvious....also obvious is it was a great idea to move on from Russel Wilson. Going to be a tough season to get through.
However there is hope for the future, something lacking if the Seahawks stuck with RW. Go Seahawks!

Man like all you guys I have been watching the broncos hoping they would lose to get a better 1st and 2nd round pick from them. I really thought this was going to be Kittles return and the 49ers would win this game. I am hoping that their record wouldn't be that good by the time they would get in sync.

I will say this I will truly miss RW beating the 49ers I don't think there has been a bigger 49er killer in Seahawks history than RW I know they have to be happy he is gone. That tipped ball NFC Conference game was the beginning of a long few years against us.

If there is one person that will always drink the Pete Carroll kool-aid it is Pete Carroll.

This is such strange thinking to me.

We are going to be a bad football team. It would appear we are going to be worse than I thought. We have a league average QB who will NEVER be more than that. We have an atrocious defensive line. We have an atrocious secondary. In fact the only position groups on the team that could be considered above average are WR and RB.

This may wind up being a 4 win team this year. With a 71 year old coach. And a caretaker owner. So what hope do we have? That we might be able to draft Bryce Young? That won't make this defense any better. And, ftr, this defense is really no different than last year or the year before or the year before. A bottom 8 defense that can't get off the field.

At this point we probably just want the team to give up on Pete so Jody actually fires him. Then maybe we have some hope.

Only caught red zone coverage again, which is not turning out to be so bad. From what I was able to see, my takeaways:
  • Remember when we used to be a 2nd half team and play our best when it mattered the most? Those days appear to be over. So far this year, a total of 3 points on offense in the 2nd half. Awfully tough to win that way.
  • Geno is playing efficiently but not all that effectively. The numbers themselves look pretty good, but his mistakes and poor plays tend to come in crunch time and/or when the team needs him to step up. When was the last time he came through at the end of a close game to get a W? Most NFL games are close contests, and the difference between winning and losing is often which QB makes it happen at the end and which one makes a mistake. Last night's SF-Den game is a good example. Geno is usually the guy who makes the mistake.
  • The run defense isn't good. The DL desperately needs an "extra meeting guy" as Mark Schlereth likes to call it. Maybe being a 5 win team this year gives us a chance to draft one.
  • It's starting to look like either last year's eye-popping finish from Penny was a one-off or the things needing to happen around him to be productive just aren't there. It's not that he's playing poorly, but those big plays and big numbers are absent so far after 3 games. Will be interesting to see how much of an increased role Walker gets as the season goes.
We're settling in to the group of irrelevant teams. Our roster has enough talent to be competitive most of the time in home games when we face mediocre or lesser teams; when on the road, we'll be challenged to win even against lesser competition unless they have multiple key injuries. That's about where I see this team for at least the rest of this season. 5-ish wins.
