It seems that DK has thrown down the guantlet and claims he's the faster man. I would LOVE to see this go down. Personally, I take DK. Partially because I'm biased, but also because Tyreek is a bit older. Either way this would be awesome to watch. The league should make this happen!

I don't know if this is accurate, I took it from some of the youtube comments:

Tale of the tape:

TH -5’10 185 ||40 yd Combine: 4.29 (March 11, 2016)

Probably Ty Hill for the win.

Hill is 10 times quicker. Metcalf is .07% faster.

There is a reason that short guys like Hill dont win the 100 meter dash at the Olympics.

Any race would depend on the distance. Hill will crush Metcalf off the line. Eventually Metcalf will catch up and pass him.

Maybe, but check out their 40 yard combine times when they were both the same age. Hill was only 0.04 of a second quicker than DK. I just think it's possible that DK at his current age of 24 is probably still a tiny bit more prime than Hill is at his current age of 28. I mean the difference is probably almost nothing but in sprinting that's all it ever is. The only reason I'm taking DK right now is that he is 4 years younger. That's all it comes down to for me.

Free money for Hill I guess.
In 100M? Not so sure about that. DK ran a 10.37 in an official race last year. Tyreek supposedly ran a 9.98 wind assisted in 2013. I also found an official 10.19 in 2012, but that was 10 years ago. If I had to bet I'm taking DK.

Tyquon Thornton, the Patriots #2 draft pick has previously been clocked at 4.21,
In fairness, his combine speed was 4.28 - and he is younger than Tyreek.
Maybe he should get in on this?

Why not bring back the NFL's Fastest Man Competation?

I'd love to see that, but the NFL and the teams would have a cow over it. Too much risk of somebody over doing it and blowing a knee, tendon, or hammy.

I picked Metcalf. Hill has the faster PR, but it was from a long time ago, while Metcalf has recent training in this event. I doubt that we'll ever see such a race because their teams will be worried about the injury risk. However, I have not heard anything about the Seahawks objecting to Metcalf entering that sprint event last year, so I could be wrong.

If such a race happens, we should fill out the other six lanes. Mostert would definitely merit a spot. Anthony Schwartz should also be in the race. I would not be surprised if someone other than Hill or Metcalf winds up winning.

I would put my money on Hill, though he would probably have to train for this.

I ran the 100 back in high school and was on the 400 meter relay team. We set a school record and I thought we were pretty good, but we went to the Penn Relays and there were girls there were faster than me. That was pretty much the end of my track and field career when I saw that.
