Hokies break the game wide open in the t-9th. 9-0 now still only 1 out.

Hokies win 9-1. Devin Burke complete game. That's huge if VT needs to play 2 games tomorrow.

Hokies beat UConn 3-1, will play OU in the regional final. Have to beat OU twice though.

Disappointing end to a great season. Proud of these guys though. Hopefully Coach Hughes stays and we can continue to build VT baseball.

Overall, a great season.

Would have been nice to have beaten Oklahoma, but they made a great run at the end of the season.

too many errors in those last 3 losses. And wasn't that the second time someone got caught stealing 3rd just before a HR? But a great season, and you have to tip your hat to UNC, UConn, and Oklahoma. At least VT was able to avenge one of those losses and make it to the last 2 in the regional. This was definitely a season to build on. Go Hokies!

It's a shame the momentum didn't carry over from the ACC tournament. VT basically lost to UConn and Oklahoma due to errors at critical moments. I believe Chad Morgan was directly responsible for 4 or 5 errant throws between those two games that resulted in additional runs scored on VT. And some of the decision making after fielding some of the infield hits was mind boggling. VT has to improve the pitching and defense if they want to continue to be successful. It will be tough to overcome the loses of Mantiply, Rash, Pinder and who ever else leaves for the pros (Burke?, Markey?, Horan?)

Anyone have an inkling for how our baseball recruiting has been?

What's even the signing season or whatever for baseball?

I've listed where all the Hokies went in this year's draft below:

71 - Chad Pinder - A's
252 - Tyler Horan - Giants
286 - Jake Joyce - Nats
447 - Eddie Campbell - Mariners
816 - Joe Mantiply - Tigers
997 - Colin O'Keefe - Angels

...

997? How the hell wasn't I drafted?
